BTW, with everyone busy worrying about OOP titles nobody's talking about Fright. I'm glad that the film made the jump to HD as it's one of my favorite British thrillers (I hesitate to call it a horror film). I guess it didn't matter who released it since the scan was done by Studiocanal and I'm happy to report that after the opening credit sequence is over the rest of the film looks terrific. It's a great little suspense thriller with a nice, spooky atmosphere. Even if it was a mediocre film, gawking at Susan George in HD would always greatly improve it!
I watched Straw Dogs for the first time a couple days ago and instantly had t look up Susan George!

Last night bought her in THE HOUSE WHERE EVIL DWELLS for $8 at hamiltonbook.

Can't wait to pick up Fright

I snatched that from Hamilton for $5.95 last year. Hamilton isn't selling new Shout titles due to Shout's insistence on minimum guaranteed pricing, but they have some still in stock, along with Kino and Arrow titles.

In the past two weeks I've spent $400 on Shout Factory titles at Target.com. Their B2G1 sale has been the best deal I've seen on Shout titles in years (other than the Hamlitonbook and glitch sales obviously). You should check that out.

Oh, but I thought you were fighting the good fight and not waiting for sales to purchase SF titles!

Where did I say that? The majority (possibly all) of the titles I purchased in that sale were released in the "past year or so" which is in line with what I claimed. I don't remember saying that I don't partake in sales. My point was that you shouldn't wait 4+ years then complain when something goes OOP because the time had never been right for you. Seriously, you are a child.

They need to recoup initial expenses and continued storage of unsold product costs money. They need their customers to be concerned that a title could go OOP at anytime or people would wait years to buy titles they are interested in (as you and the chorus boo hoo'ers have shown).
Myself, I prioritize the smaller labels over Shout Factory, Kino and Arrow because I know I have years before I need to be concerned. But I do get to purchasing within a year or so.

The other is Barnes and Noble. They do a 40% off sale, and when you can stack it with a 20% coupon, it makes for some similarly great deals. These are the two ways I purchase my Shout titles (except for older ones on Amazon that are in the $13-$16 dollar range).

Only two from that list I don't have are Disturbing Behavior and The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, I might grab Disturbing Behavior as it's on sale for $12.99 at Amazon, not sure I care enough about GPK as I have the DVD and never watch it.

I'm also pretty surprised that the Sleepaway Camp sequels are going OOP (then again, I wouldn't have been surprised to learn they didn't sell nearly as well as the first film).

Luckily I already owned the majority of the titles from Kwyjibo's list that I wanted, so I only had to place an order for 2 or 3.

Ugh, I guess this means I should hurry up and stream the Sleepaway Camp sequels to see if I like them enough to get them on Blu-ray. The first film was alright, but I didn't love it as much as The Burning or the original Friday the 13ths.

Thank goodness I already have the Amityville trilogy and Vincent Price Vol. 2. No way would I be able to afford those right now. I got the latter last year on sale for $40 and pretty much only for House on Haunted Hill.

This is a great point. I just bought Vincent Price Vol. 2, I Madman, and Midsommar for about $70 through this deal. Definitely worthwhile considering how expensive the first VP set goes for.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation is the first time I didn't get a slipcover with a Scream Factory Collector's Edition. Never thought my first would be this title, since I got the impression it wasn't super popular. Lol.

Now I either have to grab one off ebay or ditch all my slips (I have soooo many) and finally put my Collector's Editions in fancy clear cases like I've been talking about for years. Decisions, decisions.

I personally think Sleepaway Camp II is the only one of the trilogy worth watching. It's the only one I own. It's a blast of goofy '80s horror movie fun and also even kind of works as a great spoof of the genre.

Thanks but I'm located in Canada and unfortunately they only ship within the US.

But I think I screwed up getting a copy. Yesterday both Amazon.ca and Wow HD had it listed as in stock. Decided to go with Wow HD as it was $5 cheaper, but today I found out that it is actually on backorder and Amazon.ca now lists it as in stock within 1-2 months. I ended up cancelling my Wow HD order as I would never get it and now I am hoping that Amazon.ca by some miracle gets some more in.

Lesson learned. Never trust Wow HD with OOP stuff.

I mostly like the original Sleepaway Camp for its originality and its place in slasher history, but it's not exactly fun for me. I ADORE the sequels though, and Pamela Springsteen is having a freakin' blast in them. There are dozens of us who prefer the sequels to the originals, dozens!!

With the OOP titles, I've ordered Swamp Thing and the Ghoulies duo. Sad I missed out on the Carrie set, but that's my own fault. Those were kinda big for me when I was in high school, so hopefully I'll get lucky with some of the stores locally that sell some SC.

I do have a lot of these titles that are going oop already but there are several I just needed to grab that I've been putting off for some reason or another. Some from amazon right before they back ordered, others from 3rd party sellers bless their souls. Anyways I scooped..

The Amityville Collection
The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (slipcover)
Tentacles/Reptilicus Double Feature
Carrie/Rage: Carrie 2 Double Feature
New Years Evil
Blacula/Scream Blacula Scream Doubles Feature

I was thinking Invaders from Mars if I can find a decent price. Never saw it but love Mr Hooper.

PS: IMO Sleepaway Camp sequels are essential for slasher enthusiasts. Scoop them while you can, the special features are excellent as well.

Include me in that list dozens that considers the Sleepaway Camp sequels to be great fun. They were near the top of my wish list back when they got released.

They did come out 4 1/2 years ago. It was probably a 5 year license, like most of the MGM films they released in 2014-2015 when they really started pumping out discs. From what I remember back in the day they actually sold very well.

In my opinion they have a lot more rewatch value than the original, which to be brutally honest, is primarily only remembered because of the ending...

Yeah I agree with the sentiment that for the most part the original Sleepaway Camp is pretty forgettable excluding the ending. Just really dull with very bland characters IMHO. I haven't seen the sequels yet though. I'll most likely miss out on those unfortunately. I'm tapped out until my next check for blu rays. Got a couple more weeks still.

This situation almost forces you to just blind buy everything now.
