well, to add something positive-- I'm watching THEY LIVE right now and the picture quality is terrific!! I am so pleased with these special editions of beloved 70's and 80's horror classics. HALLOWEEN 3 looked amazing as well.. so glad to get these films in quality versions like these.... very excited about upcoming releases like THE HOWLING, THE FOG, and FROM BEYOND...

I could be wrong, but Troma doesn't seem like the kind of company who'd let anyone else release Troma films, other than Troma.
Well, Anchor Bay did put out Mother's Day. I thought they had signed a deal with Troma (whom had also signed a deal with Arrow in the UK), although it could've just been Internet speculation.

It would be nice to see The Toxic Avenger finally get released on Blu...

Really? Come on people are we seriously getting to the point of complaining about a horror movie label releasing HORROR movies, seriously if you don't like a movie they release don't buy it. How releasing a newer horror film as opposed to a "retro/classic" horror film would screw a company is beyond me, if anything they would make more money and do better, remember as classic horror fans we're in the minority and i'm sure the heads of shout/scream don't sit around thinking " now what forgotten cheesy B movie can we release to put a smile on someone's face" No they're thinking " how can we make a profit", this thread is getting rediculous.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but after checking in with Amazon.com numerous times for preorders of Scream Factory films, they finally have The Howling up.

I know Troma gave up on doing their own Catalog titles on blu ray, and cancelled Surf Nazis, so unless they lisence Toxic to someone else to scan and release, it won't happen, and we all know how precious TOXIE is to them.

And Arrow got slammed by fans for releasing Troma, as those who actually enjoyed the films already had the US discs.

There goes my hopes of Kbukiman in HD

I would love these:

- Graduation Day
- The Children
- Christmas Evil (if synapse no longer has it)
- Troma's War
- Class of Nuke Em High series
- Toxic Avenger series
- Terror Firmer
- Chopper Chicks of Zombie Town

There are countless others, but OMG I want "Graduation Day" and the "Children" and I'll be happy...

And yeah, I'm a Prom Night fan! A slasher fan!

Troma and HD do not work lol.. look at all their releases, honestly, they are not much of an upgrade. They were filmed on toilet paper, so they look like shit.

why does certain soft swear words annoy you more than malicous posts like the ones deleted last night? i come on this website to talk about blu-rays and give an opinion.ive never told anyone they were wrong.ive never tried to take the mickey out of other posters and im not sarcastic either-yet i had all that in rthe last few hours just because i want scream to remain retro.maybe you should'nt be so worried about minor language maybe you should be more concerned about the bulling on a poster by about 7 others on here a few days ago on a certain horror release.

Lets just say I have been around long enough to know when someone is going to continue something.

Also I am not annoyed by anything.

Lets just move on Please

I don't endorse the negativity towards Shout concerning their decision to release newer films under the Scream banner but I completely understand if some folks are troubled by it. People are afraid, wrongly, that the company will shift toward DTV dreck and forget about the stuff we've been used to getting, like the MGM and Corman titles. People use what happened to Anchor Bay as a template for what "could" happen to Shout, something which I'm confident we don't have to worry about. If Shout has to release the occasional "Sharktopus"-type of movie to make some money I'm all for it. All WE have to do is keep buying and supporting the company like we've been doing. I know for a fact they're getting A LOT of my money this year

It goes a little something like this
-They will release titles that a lot of us do want
-They will release titles that not everyone wants..so those who will buy the Howling may not buy Dead Space...and for contemporary horror fans , they will get Dead Space but maybe not something retro like The Vampire Lovers
I think theyre just spreading things around to appeal to various horror audiences which is a good business model. That being said Id be really interested in some of the classic black and white movies that probably will wind up staying in the vaults unfortunately
We should be glad they're not limiting to 3000 units like a certain TT company..

Oh wait, they just announced only 1000 units for everything going forward as of right now

Ha HA joking about that
