Just got a ship notification for Let's Scare Jessica To Death. I'm a little bummed about there not being a new scan but still very excited that the film is now on Blu-ray.

Paramount overpaid for the remake rights for STEPFORD WIVES and HEARTBREAK KID. Bristol Meyers probably does have an inflated opinion of what the Palomar films are actually worth.

We need a huge-budget remake of THE STRANGE VENGEANCE OF ROSALIE.

Heartbreak Kid: Is it the same one I just bought at the FYE for 50¢ on HD DVD?

I saw someone saying they wouldn’t release them as Scream Factory releases because they aren’t horror movies but there are several other thrillers that are no more out-of-place under the Scream banner than these two would be.
It makes sense to me to see that under the Scream banner. And I’m it’ll happen since the Paramount deal and they’ve worked with him a couple time before. Four exactly.
And while they’re doing that I hope Shout picks up What Lies Beneath. They have two other Zemeckis titles and I feel that one would be a well deserved one.

Agreed. To me, THE GIFT is a no brainer as a Scream release and I don’t see the big deal of branding A SIMPLE PLAN that way either. Scream has released plenty of thrillers that don’t rely on blood and latex. “Horror” is a broad term and acting as if it’s such a teeny-tiny box is absurd.

Not quite the same thing but still pretty bizarre when you think about it.
Bing Cosby started in a 70s made for TV horror movie called Dr Cook's Garden. I saw it long ago but don't remember it.

I haven't seen this since the 70's, but I recall that Crosby played a "kindly' doctor who was growing something nefarious in his garden. I believe it was originally a play, and perhaps a modest success on or off Broadway.

4K scan is great, but would be more impactful on UHD. Shout needs to really start that train down the tracks. Way too many good titles they have that would look bonkers on a UHD disc...

Now I'm thinking that they very well might release friday the 13th collection... which would be cool.. but I'm not sure what more they could do with it though... unrated cuts for all movies?

My memory is a bit cloudy, but I seem to remember that Bing played a small town doctor whose hobby was gardening. He also saw his little community as his "garden" and started weeding out (killing) those patients (bad seeds) he deemed a threat to it's health and tranquility.

-Unrated cut of Jason Goes to Hell

I've decided that a Testament 1983 Blu-ray would be worth whatever ridiculous art Scream Factory would make for it. [johnadams]I can just imagine[/johnadams]. Burial shrouds, hemorrhaging boy, an answering machine, mass graves, all drawn in that distinct Iron Maiden cover aesthetic with 12 ****ing things popping in around the periphery. Still worth it.
