the post office isn’t struggling as bad as people say it is. a lot of stuff still gets sent in the mail. (like medical bills. insurance. etc...)

I can't tell whether that whole post is a joke or just the general tone of it, but we already know that Susan Hart is negotiating with Shout Factory, she is giving them the rights to more than nothing (though probably not likely to be any full movies either). I find that post only a little bit less dubious than the rumors it was responding to.

Saw this on Twitter:

"LOW STOCK ALERT - We have about 300 units left of the DEATHSTALKER 1 & 2 double feature Blu-ray, which is a https://www.shoutfactory.com/ exclusive. If you haven't bought it yet or are on the fence, consider purchasing soon before it sells out!"

The upfront price of purchasing this direct from Shout Factory (especially as a Blind-Buy) was a hard pill to swallow, but after watching the disc last weekend I have to say it's easily my favorite purchase of 2020 so far.

So, Shout is releasing is Glengarry Glen Ross on Blu-ray. Anyone know if this was licensed out from Lionsgate? If so, maybe Shout now has a deal with them and we might get some of their horror to the Scream line?

I suspect the rights have reverted to ITV in the US (it is with ITV in the UK), and we know Shout handle the ITV catalogue in the US.

EDIT: Actually I think it might originally be with Westchester Films, and Shout own that catalogue anyway.

Oh well. I suspected it would be too good to be true.

Why on earth would anyone be excited about Shout getting anything from Lionsgate when we have the Vestron line?!

Probably because Shout releases more than one movie per year.

I've been curious about these movies after first hearing about them a couple years ago but a $36 total is too much for a blind buy, even if you are getting two movies.

Here's hoping this will entice Shout Factory to release blu-rays of similar Corman films like Barbarian Queen (1 & 2) and Amazons. I'd like to see Sybil Danning's Warrior Queen (not Corman)as well.

Considering the price of this blu-ray, it's no surprise that people are on the fence about buying this it especially if it's a blind buy. I'd be more willing to take a chance on something like this, if it was more reasonably priced but at that price - no way.

Does Vestron remaster anything? Chopping Mall and ROTLD 3 look like trash.

For a blu-ray, Chopping Mall doesn't look great, but compared to the DVD it's a huge upgrade.

Yeah, it's a huge upgrade. I actually didn't think it looked that bad.
