Any chance Shout! could do a new “Tales From the Crypt” set since Warner Bros releases the DVDs? Or is the show still caught up in rights disputes?

Love your avatar. That child ghost thing from Three Men And A Baby has always fascinated me. If that were fake or some kind of filming error (some crew member's kid getting into the shot by accident), they would've fixed it in Post. Spooky.

Click below if you want the truth spoiled for you...

[Show spoiler]It’s a cardboard cutout of one of the characters as a child that was prominently featured in a deleted scene

Never knew this story! But the more hilarious thing for us film/home video nerds here is that Fallon is using a VHS to talk about the movie...because it's never been issued on Blu-ray!! (And apparently they couldn't get a hold of the DVD??) And their conversation ultimately delves into joking about the three main stars getting a cut of home video sales... so it makes it all the more ludicrous that this movie isn't out on Blu.

Plus...Leonard Nimoy. Come on!

Yeah, I just missed this damn thing, too, so went and grabbed the last cheap copy on Amazon. I had a slew of "Going OOP" titles in my SHOUT cart, I just bit the bullet...because even their Tweet the other day did not mention that PHANTOM was low!!

Not sure on the rights issue but would love to see this show come to blu at some point.

I've ordered that from Shout a couple of days ago along with 4 other discs, still waiting for them to ship. They correctly track their stock and will fulfill every order of it.....right??

That’s the real world where streaming is king and home media is a distant second. This is a dedicated message board for physical media, which is niche of niche. I would venture as far to say getting more niche each year, unfortunately.
So for the context of the show a VHS works, because at the time it was the dominant format.

Everything you ordered should get shipped, but you might have to wait a while for some titles. For larger orders they tend to ship things out in phases. I believe they also have multiple warehouse they ship from. I recently ordered four films and three titles went out in two different shipments. The fourth title still hasn’t shipped yet. A second order I placed was larger and already has two different tracking numbers listed under the My Order page. It’s pretty wild, but yeah, you’ll get what you ordered eventually.

I finally made an order from the current sale. At $84 and change, it's the most I've spent on one order in a while, but I think I got some good stuff. I'll probably go back for one more dip before the sale ends, since there was a couple titles I had to move to my wish list.

So many sales...Shout, Scorpion titles at Kino, Arrow titles at MVD. Going out of business sales? Half joking. But, yeah, lots of fire sales going on, none of which benefit day one buyers like myself. It's funny, now that my bank account is happy because of tax refunds and stimulus payments all arriving at the same time, I have nothing to buy.

I usually only day-one buy movies I can't live without, like the recent The Elephant Man release, for example. The sales allow me to buy other titles that have been on my wishlist, but for whatever reason, I wasn't able to get right away or wasn't in a hurry to get. That said, I've spent at least $400 on blu-rays in the past 3-4 weeks. So many sales, not enough money.

I grabbed that Elephant Man set. Beautiful release. Blind buy but a safe one I think.
