I’ve not really dived into their modern movie releases as much. Although I did enjoy Fender Bender and A Dark Song. Any recommendations from fans here which are some of the best ones to get?
I'm not convinced that the current events are going to have all that big of an impact on Scream Factory's business to be honest. Some titles may not sell quite as well but overall I'd be surprised if there were significant dips in sales overall. Also, to clarify my earlier comments, I wouldn't be shocked if Scream Factory wasn't required to press a minimum of 5000 copies of the IFC titles are initially if not substantially more as part of their agreement to distribute these films. Meaning that while yes many titles may start to go out of print, it may be quite some time before that stockpile dries up completely. As we all know, Out of print is not the same thing as Out of stock. That said, as I always preface these kinds of comments I'll say again now that anything folks are interested in should always be picked up sooner rather than later as horror titles can and will dry up rather quickly and unexpectedly.

Yikes. I remember the original Ninja III disc being a good enough seller where they went ahead and double dipped it, too...

Some of these IFC ones on their site such as The Devil’s Doorway only came out a year and a half ago, so I don’t know what’s happening there, are all IFC films going to go OOP soon too?
I'm not surprised to see a whole lot of the MGM titles go. They licensed A LOT of them. And while I will always say that ideally, every film should get released in each format with the best possible release, I can't imagine that there was a huge number of people looking to add Ghosts Can't Do It to their Blu-Ray collection.

That said, I don't feel like ALL MGM titles will be going OOP just yet. with how much Shout/Scream loves John Carpenter, I can't imagine that they'd let any of his films from MGM go out of print. I also feel that both The Howling and Lifeforce, both having gotten the steelbook treatment (with even more money being spent on a new 4K transfer for the latter), are relatively safe for the time being.

But I'd still recommend that if there's any MGM titles in their catalog you want, especially any that weren't "big" releases, you best get them sooner than later.

Thanks for the heads up! Preordered Orca, Graveyard Shift and The Tenant. Great prices! I guess I found my go-to for Shout titles

Has anyone ordered from Shout directly recently? I placed an order about two weeks ago, and I've had no movement on the order. Even e-mailed them with no response.

I really looked forward to this one based on the trailer. Of course it failed to live up to my expectations but I don't regret buying it.

The movie starts out pretty slow and highlights are mainly a big spider running around the house that you see in all sorts of above and off to the side shots.
The spider effects deliver, veterans Bruce Davison and Denise Crosby give good performances in supporting roles, there's some thrills and suspense in the final third act.

I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars. It's not a memorable flick, but much better than a lot of other dreck offered these days....

As far as the OOP titles go, it's great that labels like Shout and Kino give us this heads up but I've got a question for the insiders.

Are there any notions or suggestions as to where some of these titles may soon end up? I realize some poor sellers may not ever see another physical release but what about franchise films like Pumpkinhead II, Poltergeist II & III and a film with Clive Barker's name on it like Lord of Illusions? Surely these aren't gone forever.

Arrow could very well pick up some as well. I could see them issuing collectors editions of a few titles with new scans. Many of the oldest Scream Factory releases are closing in on a decade old.

true, and they’re more likely license the supplements too since they’ve collaborated in the past.

I received LOST CONTINENT from them last week, about a week and a half before street date. Everything seemed fine.

On using the Shout/Scream site trying to build a wish list. It's really tedious work to find one, put it on the list, then go back and have to start all over again. The scrolling takes forever, and the search function doesn't work worth a crap. Any ideas at all, or just keep slogging along?

Try opening the titles in a new tab rather than clicking into each one.

I know a number of folks have mentioned that they like to buy from Bullmoose recently. I think I've only ever placed one order with them thus far. Tonight I tried to place an order for 2 titles but haven't been able to complete checkout as their website keeps telling me that there is a problem with my bank or there's and that I need to try a different card or try again later. Has anyone had issues like this recently? I'm using my Credit Card which is my primary payment method when paypal isn't an option as I like to minimize where I use my debit card online. Any suggestions/feedback? At this point I'm just not going to purchase from Bullmoose if this continues as the titles aren't something I need at this moment, however the price they are offering is the best compared to what I can find elsewhere and so if this is a minor blip I'd like to grab these films if possible. Thoughts?

Bull moose is the best. This happened to me like a month ago. Just try again later and it should be fine.

I’m at the 2 week mark. I ordered some of the OOP items and none showed as out of stock. Gray eagle, supernova, poltergeist 2&3, invasion USA. Unfortunately, we ordered as a guest since the password didn’t work and never got the change password email til 2 days later so I can’t even see the order. Just my confirmation email.

The same thing happened to me last time I ordered from them. At first I thought the bank had put a block on my card for suspicious activity or something. I tried again a few minutes later, though, and it went through fine.

Hmmm.. I tried a few moments ago after Duke told me something similar and it still rejected my payment. Really poor business setup as far as I'm concerned. If your bank/website has ongoing issues you'd think that they'd set up paypal as an alternative. I may or may not try one more time in the morning but as of right now Bullmoose has not done much to convince me that I need to provide them with my business.

I had that same issue a few times with them & just decided to shop somewhere else. I prefer to use PayPal but I also have a prepaid debit card that I load with money t0 buy things online. I never use my bank card.
