Question. Does Shout/Scream Factory have access to the entire IFC films catalog/library? I notice they seem to exclusively release a lot of their titles. I'm hoping one day they'll release The Den on blu-ray and noticed it's an IFC title so it had me wondering, due to the collaboration frequency, if they just have free reign with it?

The Den is a really good film, but Scream's IFC titles appear to be new releases, I doubt they would go back and release a title that's a few years old.

Any good place to pick up several slipcovers for shout other than ebay or bluraysforeveryone? I'm looking for several ones and they just don't seem to be popping up on those sights.

I would love to see this movie. I remember seeing the poster in the rental stores 20 years ago, but never picked it up for whatever reason. This would be a blind buy bluray for me...

You can try starting a thread in the trade forum and listing out what you are looking for and what you are willing to pay, that works for some folks. Otherwise I've had a lot of luck posting what I am looking to buy in my signature with what I am willing to pay and letting folks contact me. This only works if you are an active poster however and so you'd likely have to become much more active on site for that to work for you.

True. Still a shame about not including the uncut version or at least the scenes. But can't wait to rewatch this one regardless.

It really is. I haven't seen it in a long time even though I own it on DVD. Will wait for the BD to do a rewatch.

I'm always a big proponent of including multiple cuts of any film, this one included, but it's hard be overly disappointed on this one given all the new content and the fact that Warner is pretty strict on what Unrated content they allow released.

This is one I've never actually watched and so when I get around to snagging the Blu Ray it will be a first time watch. Late 2000 Mainstream horror films are pretty hit or miss with me still at this point. Not quite old enough to appreciate the era they came from and when new they more often than not didn't do much for me from this time span and so while I am interested in checking this one out, I'm not necessarily in a rush to do so. This will be one of those titles I watch for a good deal on rather than blindly buying regardless of price.

I remember renting this one with a friend when it came out. It was my senior year of High School. Good times. I have not seen this since then though, so im excited to watch it again.

“There is an uncut version. but it probably won’t get released because it does mix sex and violence,” explained Parker. “The original version more than pushed the boundaries. Let’s just say there was a character that was Concannon’s wife, and we had to cut her out of the film because he ultimately kills her while having sex with her. Same here. It's not really an era I look back fondly on as far as horror goes, but this looks like a surprisingly stacked release, and I have heard a few good things about this one from a friend whose taste I trust. When the price is right, I will likely pick it up!

Wouldve been nice to see the full uncut version but I also like the version we ended up getting.

Is it confirmed that the R-rated version has cuts in it? Was there previously any unrated version?
