The Brute Man isn't with Universal any more. I think it might have ended up with Films Around the World, or at least they claim ownership of it.

Didn't know that. Thanks, Barndoor!!! I did some additional searching and found that Universal was embarassed by the film and sold it to PRC whose product must now be owned by the label you mentioned. I'd still like to have it.

I received a shipment notification for EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN. My guess is that it won't move until next week.

I ordered 4 movies during their sale on the 1st of April and I got 3 of them by the 10th. But the only one to not ship was Dungeonmaster / Eilminators. I can usually wait for movies to arrive since I have other movies I can watch. But when I noticed it wasn't shipped by the 26th I decided to throw them an email. Got an email the next day saying it shipped and got it two days later... So I don't know what was up with that.

They're not going to release it on a Friday. Tuesdays are release days.

But they can make an exception. Movies have had special releases before, and if they are releasing a big Friday the 13th box set it could be an idea to release it on Friday the 13th.

I highly doubt it. If anything I could see them making the announcement on that date. That's about it. But then again, that would mean we wouldn't get the set until February of next year, which would suck.

I didn’t mean necessarily release it on that day but the Tuesday or 2 beforehand so people will want to buy it day one to have it for the actual day.

I ordered 28 titles around the first of the month. They’ve shipped in phases since. DUNGEONMASTER/ELIMANTORS is the last hold out. If you email them it’ll likely get sent out the next day. That’s happened several times in the past where one title just sort of lingers after the rest of the order has gone out. Once I enquired about it, it was delivered almost immediately. I’ll still wait another week or so before I contact them. I’m in no big rush to get that one. I’m sure they’re backed up as is.

Has anyone shipped anything to Canada direct from Shout lately? I ordered Phantom of the Opera at the beginning of April, and it shipped shortly after, but there's been no movement on it for 2 weeks now. Just wondering if that's normal given the circumstances. I don't have much experience ordering direct from Shout, but when I have in the past it hasn't taken quite this long.

10/27 would be a great for the release date, imo. It would be a few days before Halloween and plus it gives more time for people to get it before Friday the 13th in November.

For many, many months there has been much speculation that Criterion may have this and are just sitting on it for now.

I had POLTERGEIST III ship on April 1 from Shout! and it only arrived yesterday. I think USPS and Canada Post are struggling to keep up with the demand during the pandemic--my copy of Fangoria #7 is still MIA somewhere (likely) in Canada.

They've churned out so many titles that I can't keep up with the new ones, let alone the ones that are going out of print. Luckily I do have a decent few of the ones leaving their company but will also probably just not end up with some of them since I don't really want to pay $20-23 for a bunch of blind buys. Hopefully the out of print titles will end up with other boutique labels to keep them in print again though.

Anyone here win one of those $200 shopping sprees? I’d like to at least vicariously live through that person’s cart.

Regarding the Universal box sets from Scream, do each of the films have their own case or is it 2 films per disc?

One normal width case, each film on its own disc, separate booklet.

I finally got my stimulus money, so I've started going wild. I got those two Shout titles that had been in my DD cart for a while. I also still have a few titles on my Shout website wish list.

I messaged SF on Facebook asking them if we will be getting titles announcements in some shape or form since Comic Con is gone this year, and they said they don't have an answer. Hopefully we get something as it's always something I look forward to every year.
