If you like fun, ridiculous movies, then I'd give it a huge recommendation. Great cast chewing the scenery, I love it

^sold! Thanks guys.

Ordered about 30 SF titles in the past month. Also ordered 250 clear cases to replace all of my SF Blu cases. Should look pretty sweet on the shelf. Anyone else spending way more than normal online due to this self-isolation crap?

I definitely have been, especially now that I've had the time to watch all the stuff I've bought and not seen yet, I need more to watch.

I've ordered so many "physical media form" movies (and so much physical media music) in the last two months that my state has been locked down, that I'm actually going to have to seriously slow down for a while, because I'm having space issues in my apartment. I'm literally running out of room here!

On a heavier note, the lockdown where I live is still very much ongoing too, with only a slight easing of restrictions, and quite a number of new cases of the virus are still being announced every day, so it's looking like I'll mostly be staying home, and catching up on movies, and listening to a lot of music (even more than I usually do), for some time.

I've spent about $700, I estimate, and the VS and Severin sales are still coming up.

I'm amazed-- I just got my "directly ordered from SF" package of eleven Blu-rays (it took well over two weeks, and it's still only part of my order, but I'm just glad that it got here), and IOTBS had a slipcover!! It was released four years ago, so how did I get a slipcover, directly from SF, just before it went OOP? Not that I'm complaining at all-- quite to the contrary!--, but I'm just so surprised!

Got them through a seller on Amazon Canada. 150 singles + 100 double-sided.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also use clear cases for my Shout Select, Severin, Synapse, VinSyn, Code Red, Scorpion, and Warner Archive collections...as well as most of the custom covers I do. Cover art just pops so much better in a clear case I find.

Yeah mine came with a slip too. I’m always surprised when older titles show up with a slip, but that likely means they weren’t huge sellers to begin with.

I only ordered one Bluray from Shout (Dungeonmaster double feature), but am now looking at over a month without a shipping notice! Are they really that backlogged, or was I just forgotten. . .

How likely do you think Scream Factory will Eventually expand to the current format 4K UHD?

I ordered several titles the beginning of April and that double is the only one I haven’t gotten yet. It must be getting repressed, so it could be another couple weeks before we see it.

I hope so. There are quite a few releases from SF I would buy for 4K.

If Shout Select is releasing The Deer Hunter in 4K (with The Terminator also rumored), it’s only a matter of time before Scream Factory releases one of their bigger hits. I could see them releasing Creepshow, Halloween 2-3, Candyman, Mad Max, Carrie, The Babadook, and Return of the Living Dead.

I really hope we get some sort of sneak peak to what's coming in July since there is no more Comic Con this year. That's always an exciting time of the year.

I'm really hoping they were able to nap the Dead Zone before Criterion got to it. At least with Scream we will probably get it soon. If Criterion napped it, we could be waiting for years. Still, my money is on Scream.

If GetHarryPalmer is correct on the Kino thread, Criterion have been sitting on War of the Worlds since 2015, which means we have no evidence yet to suggest they have a fresh deal with Paramount. I really can't see them sitting on The Dead Zone for so long, so I have to think Scream had a clean shot at this one and acquired it for release in the next few months.

I hope you're right. A bit strange that Criterion held onto War of the Worlds so long, and I'm only thinking they are releasing it now, so that they don't lose too much in the way of potential sales from the Australian release. It would truly be strange if they have held onto the Dead Zone for five years.

I also wonder what other titles from Paramount Criterion might be holding onto? I wouldn't be surprised if the Elephant Man is one of them.

Still at the end of the day, I really want a Scream release of the Dead Zone. With Christopher Walken doing an interview for the Comfort of Strangers, I hope he'll be willing to do one for this film.

I know Ferris Bueller’s been rumored for a long time, but then again, so was Sixteen Candles.

Yeah, I've held off buying current release because of the rumored Criterion edition. It's been years.
