Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

I'll second the Dead Zone request too. I am hoping for a few Hammers like Brides of Dracula and maybe Horror/Curse. That Friday the 13th set better be the end all be all. Bought those so many times, but they keep hooking me in.

Actually, with Blue Underground, VS, and now Arrow going 4K, when is Scream Factory?

as mentioned in the VS thread, i lost my entire collection in a terrible breakup. i’ll obviously not be able to rebuild a lot of them with some of my favorites now being oop, i did order sleepaway camp, final exam, and the final terror. plan on a nice triple feature tomorrow with pizza and jazz garbage!

Technically, they have with their select line with The Deer Hunter. If that sells well, I could see more 4K titles. Maybe for October.

It sounds like Brides of Dracula will probably be announced next week, and as always hoping for the Dead Zone. September/October are the biggest months for horror, so hoping for some really big titles.

Sorry to hear. My ex wife wanted nothing of my collection in the divorce. Probably the only good thing about having different tastes.

she took some movies, for the most part she took everything we owned that you needed to live and drained our bank accounts and shut them down, my paycheck direct deposits got bounced around for 3 weeks before payroll could fix it, ended up selling 800 blu-rays and 1000 records to catch up on all the bills, debt and home goods that were taken and left. live and learn. now i’m being more picky this time around, mostly trying to stay in my 80s sweet spot, with an eye on replacing as many slashers as possible and grabbing other odds and ends here and there.

That’s terrible, hope you get to rebuild your whole collection eventually. I actually didn’t know divorce can cause you to lose personal movie collection. That’s crazy. That’s like saying I get to keep half of my wife’s dresses, shoes and bras if there’s a divorce.

It's nearly a month since I ordered a bunch of movies from Shout. I received one of the items right away, but am still waiting for four other items. Is this normal? I can understand a wait because of the virus, but isn't a month too much?

I think I waited 30 business days last time for part of my order to be shipped. So well over a month. Welcome to Shout.

No, it's not normal for Shout to take this long, but well..you know, so things are slower. My order going on over 3 weeks now still says 'order taken', so be happy you at least got one item..

I'm on 6 weeks for my last 2 movies and I finally emailed them and was told that they're still on back order and then offered to cancel and give me refund if I want but I said I'll wait longer because I wouldn't be able to buy them elsewhere for the prices I paid. It sucks waiting this long but I'm sure they'll get them to me as soon as they can.

I have 4 titles from SF and 6 titles from Twilight Time that I have been waiting for, for what seems like an eternity.

17 SF titles waiting on for me. All from the oop. But it took 2 months last year for Lady in White, and 2 months this year for Candyman 2, so factoring in quantity X history X corona I expect my package Febuary 2023.

Not complaining tho, I have plenty to watch til then what with the hallway sale just happened at VS and the coming Severin. Not to mention the next three Black Fridays.

TBF all my other orders from SF were two day deliveries.
