Right? How come Diabolik can fulfil orders like a madman and provide great customer service when it's literally like a 1-3 person operation but Scream Factory is struggling terribly?

I just sent Shout an email kind of ripping into them about an order I placed a month ago, on 05/04/20. My order contained three items. The two items that were on their OOP list were shipped to me a couple of weeks ago, but the third item (Dreamscape, which is still in stock) still has not shipped.

I pointed out that I could currently order the item for a dollar less on Amazon, and have it shipped and delivered to me tomorrow for free.

Shout's customer service really is the worst out of all the boutique labels.

Yeah, Shout has been VERY slow when it comes to shipping titles. Took a month for my order to ship out.

Also becoming slow to announce titles. Hopefully tomorrow.

Placed an order for two titles on May 9th (soon to be a month now) and placed an order for some sale titles at Shameless, an international company around the same time. Shipping was delayed but in the span of a few weeks, got a shipping notification and arrival of my package from a different country.

Scream Factory have yet to process my order. I normally am not picky about shipping and delivery times but even with covid-19 going on and shipping delays, Scream Factory have always been god awful with shipping times and customer service. I regret even grabbing any titles to begin with, the sale price really isn't much better than Diabolik or Ebay...

Usually, in the past, it has taken around two to three weeks for my direct orders through the SF website to be fulfilled and ship. That is, already, really too long, even for discs which are back-ordered but deceptively shown on the website as being "in stock."

However, in recent times, with the lockdowns, all bets are completely off with shipping times. I am still waitng on an entire order of six discs which I placed on May 8. Not a single one of those discs has shipped yet.

Been happy with my SF orders over the years. Sure they might take a little longer, but I’m in no rush, and they are always packaged very well.

Because SF is a corporation. Corporate entities only care about the bottom line. Small indy outfits like Diabolik have always been about good customer service - it's how they get and keep loyal customers

A small bit of good news on my SF front: I've just received two separate tracking numbers, for two of the six Blu-rays that I haven't received yet from my 4/28 order. To be clear, this was a huge order of more than 20 titles, and very slowly, very gradually, I have been receiving them. I'm still waiting for any one of the six titles from my 5/8 "Going OOP" SF order to finish "processing" and ship though.

I'm not crazy about the fact that these two latest SF Blu-rays are coming in two separate packages, because in my experience, that increases the possibility of the items arriving damaged. These kinds of small shipments are part of the deal that I accept, though, when I place large orders directly from SF, which ships from multiple locations across the country, and which ships items as they become available, and not all together in one package. Hopefully, these two Blu-rays arrive in good condition.

Meanwhile, just yesterday, I ordered the "Maniac" 4K, and three CDs, from Bull Moose, and they have all been shipped and are on the way to me. I also ordered one music DVD and thirteen CDs from Collectors' Choice Music yesterday, and all of those are also already on their way, with one tracking number for the one package. Last, but not at all least, yesterday, I ordered the "Zombie" 4K, and two other Blu-rays, from Grindhouse Video, and all three are already on their way to me, with one tracking number!

Bull Moose, and Collectors' Choice, and Grindhouse, and KinoLorber, and other very well-managed, well-run companies and stores, are helping to keep me quite busy and happy, as I patiently wait for all of my SF discs to finally ship!

Yep, still waiting on Slither to come back in stock from my April 20th order. I'll never be ordering from SF's site directly ever again. Why don't they have a little description next to their titles if they're backordered? Why do I have to email them, wait two weeks, only for them to tell me it's backordered? I'm giving it another week then I'm asking for a refund. This is ridiculous.

If you're into Mediabooks, Diabolik have a real beauty available from Germany. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it.

I ordered Fear in the Night and some other Scream Factory Blu-rays from Amazon a few days ago. I knew something was odd when it had a thicker, tighter shrinkwrap than the other movies in the box.

This was sold by Amazon, not a third party seller. Disc was backwards in the case. I can only assume it was a ex-return, but wow. Either Amazon doesn't inspect its returns or the original buyer went through the trouble of rewrapping it.
I actually have to send it back to fulfill my replacement. Should I write something on the cover in marker so Amazon doesn't throw it back into their inventory?

How weird. Is there anything on the disc itself like a movie, or is it just a blank one? It could of been reshrink wrapped by the person that sent it back. Then put that other disc in there so nobody would suspect it. You can get them for fairly cheap for a smaller one. Less than $200. I have a shrink wrap machine myself (for real business) and the wrap I use is thicker than the store bought stuff. Another clue would of been if it has that fold over on the back and/or no tiny holes in the shrink wrap. Quality of the job in wrapping won't help. I've gotten store bought stuff that looks like garbage and when I do it, it looks better than 99% of the wrap jobs I see in stores with the same kind of wrap.

That's another reason to avoid Amazon for movies. DiabolikDVD all the way!

I haven't tried the disc, and I'm not going to risk opening anything that might be on it. I didn't fully expect the shrink wrap when I opened it, I only noticed it being foggier and thicker. Even so, I've gotten rewrapped items from Amazon before but the discs would still be legit.

I did speak to a Amazon agent to inform them that I expected better, and they would pass the word to their returns team. I don't know if it will actually go anywhere. This is probably the third item I've bought from Amazon this year that was a obvious ex-return. It really makes buying from them a hard choice. At least pre-orders will always be legit and new. I sure will be weary of expensive Blu-ray sets and OOP titles that suddenly appear in-stock.

Just for the record: Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh is finally being listed as 'Sold out' on the Scream site.

Well, it's day 4 of the month. Hoping we get September titles today. Otherwise, I'm guessing it will be tomorrow.

A while back I got a bootleg Unbreakable shrink wrapped from Amazon, not third party. Artwork insert was cut crooked and the disc was a memorex BD-R with an artwork sticker.
