Yeah, I just went on Shout's website to check if my OOP order will ever ship, still no. Anyways, they had the listing for the reissue of the OOP VP Volume 1 set up for order in September. Boy, people better unload those OOP copies right away if they plan on selling, as the value will plummet once this leaks out.

Scream Factory posted the Vincent Price re-issue details on Facebook just a few minutes ago.

I still say that if/when Scream announces a Friday the 13th mega-set/collection, the release will be for November since it's the next month that actually features a Friday the 13th in it.

Plus if they've been working on this thing all along (which is probably the case if the set would feature the original ten films plus the remake plus Freddy vs Jason) then probably there would only be last minute additions between July (when we can assume they'll announce with a stay-at-home SDCC) and November.

This is great news. Between this and the Arrow DJANGO set finally getting released, some real holy grails are starting to become obtainable.

So does it stand to reason that the second volume will get put back into print as well in a similarly re-issued form?

Sales-wise, it would make the most sense to get it out in September/October. A potential announcement tomorrow for a November release would be a little premature, not something Scream usually do.

It would appear that the Vintage Introductions were the problem as all the films are back, but those introductions have been removed. They went on to state that they plan to add new extras however so those older sets will still be worth something it seems. Also, The Masque of The Red Death will now contain two cuts of the film, one version will be longer with more footage.

The Masque of The Red Death is also getting a solo release as well for those that want the extra cut without having to re-buy the full set.

Yes, those Price intros/outtros add up to about 43 minutes - great to hear Price's perspective on his films, so I'm holding on to my original set.
If they add any major extras features (like proper documentaries) though, they might entice me to buy the set again.... (yeah I'm a sucker)

If not I'll def pick up the Masque single release.

October would make more sense sales wise since that’s the best month for horror movie sales.

As much as I would love for that to be it, Diabolik doesn't usually list Scream Factory pre-orders until everything is announced yeah?

I mean...F13 might be a different case but yeah...don't get me wrong...that would be awesome!

I wonder if the title that Diabolik was hinting at is one of the highly anticipated Synapse releases (Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, Massacre at Central High, or Tombs of the Blind Dead)

I'm leaning towards this right now, if only for the reason that saying 'it is a favorite of ours' seems more appropriate for a single film rather than a series of 12 films. And if one of Living Dead or Blind Dead (perhaps both) was due for September/October, we'd be due an announcement very soon.

While those would be fine, I really don't think they are titles that would warrant an announcement before the announcement. Still, it simply be a favorite as they said, maybe that's what they made their announcement today.

Agreed. If it turns out to be any of the aforementioned Synapse releases I will audibly boo them. It doesn't have to be a Friday Box set announcement they were teasing but it needs to be something better than that.

If it isn't a Friday the 13th set, then I am leaning toward a US announcement of Dawn of the Dead. (Which would go a long way to further explain why Diabolik only took two days of pre-orders on the second sight release and was also very clear in their No cancelations policy).

Diabolik did respond to a comment on Facebook and said that it's not a US release of Dawn of the Dead.
