Are you prepared to spend $350 on such a set, because that's how much its likely going to cost if Scream Factory or any licensed distributor release such a set at minimum. If you want 4k releases in a collection then your best bet is going to be Paramount.

If scream factory does infact announce a complete blu ray Friday the 13th set this week im expecting a $200 price tag at minimum.

So the likes of Deadly Friend, Red Eye, and Vampire in Brooklyn need a release. I would also argue for a Music from the Heart since that copy now sells for a grossly huge price.
And SF also released the tv movies that Carpenter did so I don't see why they couldn't for the likes of Craven.
Vampire in Brooklyn was just announced by paramount.

Hasn't it been claimed recently (in regard to Criterion's recent announcement of The Elephant Man) that Paramount aren't making 4K UHD rights available for licencing? If so, I wouldn't get your hopes up for 4K Fridays from Scream.

Good grief...that amount of teasing is borderline criminal!!
Wouldn’t happen, but a TCM boxed set would be pretty neat.

Yeah, I don't think it's happening. At least for now. I'm just curious if we'll get uncut versions of all the films and not have SD inserts. Scream did an amazing job with My Bloody Valentine.

I also don't imagine any "boutique" label would make their first venture into the 4k format a prohibitively expensive set of that many movies. Especially right now.

Would love to see SF enter the 4k arena, but highly doubt a 10-12 movie collection will be how they do it.

What about an I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 4K? That would be a good dip into the 4K market.

Scream's release of Kiss of the Vampire. Beautiful disc, one of my favorite Hammer films.

I'm "watching" some show with my wife about Zac Efron traveling the world trying to live sustainably in the environment.

Unless everyone was lying for years about the footage being gone or destroyed (like for Part 7), getting non SD inserts is impossible.

I would feel that Freddy VS Jason would fit better in a NOES boxset, rather than a Friday 13th set. It's more of a Nightmare film with Jason added (who IMO was the worst Jason ever portrayed in a film).

With that said, I was told a couple years back that Arrow Video were looking to release Freddy VS Jason as a stand alone set, but it looks like that never got going.

That would be like my holy grail, if someone could turn up all the excised footage from parts 2, 5, and 7.

We hate to break bad news but our previously announced Blu-ray release of the 1981 thriller TATTOO has been cancelled.

We're sincerely sorry for getting hopes up for anyone who was interested in the release. (We were excited about it too.) Unfortunately, it was discovered later in our production process that we did not have usable film elements to create a new and suitable HD master. If any developments that are promising on that front surfaces in the future, we’ll put it back on the schedule and re-announce.

If you pre-ordered through us directly on our site, our customer service department has issued refunds as of today. Please allow for up to 5 business days for them to be processed."

Such a bummer. I was really looking forward to that one.
Damn it, this sucks. Tattoo has been high on my wish list for a long time.

Yeah i always said that FVJ was more of a NOES film than a Friday film. Still, i'd love to see it in the new Friday boxset. If it's not included, it won't be a deal breaker though.

Although it would make me wonder if they leave it out specifically, because they want to include it in a future NOES boxset.

Do you think they were able to restore 8 films in a few months?

Really excited for tomorrow. Monday the 13th. I'm guessing they waited a week so they could announce it on the 13th.
