If Shout doesn't have anything to release, they shouldn't blame COVID for it. Every other label is doing just fine

According to information that was posted in the UHD thread, the UHD of Army of Darkness is supposed to come out on February 16. So if that date holds, we should be getting more information about that release this week.

They may have been more directly impacted; I imagine there's a lot going on we don't know anything about.

I didn’t know what they were and never used them until I saw people selling them on eBay. I think I sold all I had to one guy for close to $100. I had some for so long that they had expired. I’m a very simple guy.
I love slipcovers. If it's a movie I really want but missed out on because I wasn't collecting when it was released, I'll pay up to $25-30 more on ebay to get one. Other than that, I'll take my chances with them, they're not that important. I do redeem all of my digital codes because the movies are nice to have anywhere for airplanes or any travel. I'll download the one I want to watch on my laptop before the trip and I can keep myself entertained.

Slipcovers are nice, but I rarely end up getting them since my priority is cost and I wait until good sales. By the time that happens, usually the initial print run that would include slips is already over.

I've never used digital codes at all, to me they are rather redundant. If I wanted it digitally I wouldn't be getting a physical disc. My video library is filled with tons of unused / expired codes.

Never understood the expiration either. If the disc is still in print and can be purchased, the digital should be active as well.
I also had no use for digital codes until I got the Batman Animated Series blu-ray set and realized it was way easier to watch those with my kid when we could just browse around Vudu instead of constantly switching discs

I then went and "redeemed" every digital code I had. They pretty much all still worked (the oldest one I remember was 2012's The Raid)

Now it's cool cause if I travel I can just log in to my Vudu account and have something like 100 movies to pick from

I still watch the blu-rays at home but it's convenient to at least have that option to stream a handful of titles I own. I'd never buy a movie digitally though. I only redeem codes from blus

Why not sell them here and make money back to purchase more physical discs?

That's a good option too. On longer flights (2.5+ hours) I watch a movie and bring a book to read for the rest of the time. On trains I try not to read because it makes me sick (I've always found it odd that I get motion sick from reading but not watching a movie, but I have no idea how the brain works).

I just watch screens for so many hours a day (whether my TV or laptop) that, when I go out, I prefer a book just to stimulate a different section of my brain. Plus, it's the only time I can get any good reading in, when on a train that'll bring me out to shop or see a movie or whatever.

Maybe you need to watch a Paul Greengrass film while traveling on a flight. The shaking in real life + his quick-cut handheld style should put your motion sickness into overdrive .

In all seriousness, it's probably because we're conditioned for movement in movies. Train rides also tend to be more bumpy than flights in my experience, other than the occasional pocket of turbulence.

I've never had a problem reading on trains, but then again, even my longest typical train ride is only about 45 minutes if I'm going all the way into Boston. Having that much time (both ways) with a good book allows me to sink into it and get large chunks of it finished a lot better than when I'm at home, when movies, music and the internet are calling out to me...

Now, long car trips will give me eyestrain if I try reading too long, so I typically only read in short bursts then rest my eyes looking at scenery or whatever.

I guess this makes sense. It's a cool figure, and yet it'll be like all of the other NECA retro figures and need a doll stand just to remain upright. Kind of a let down. (Two peg holes in the feet would go a long ways...)
