I actually got into blu-ray collecting mostly because of Scream. When I first got a blu-ray player I bought some Kubrick movies on blu, but still bought DVDs for most things because they were cheaper and I didn't really see the point of HD. Eventually I started going to a store nearby once a month and picking up a Scream blu-ray to "splurge" a little. It started when I blind bought TerrorVision - a movie I'd seen on the shelf a long time ago at the video store but never picked up. After that it became kind of a tradition, and eventually I moved into other labels and then I started coming here and all. About eight years later, my $20 a month hobby has snowballed into a huge collection (with a much higher monthly cost). Time flies.

Prison and TerrorVision were two that I hadn't heard of until Scream Factory released them, and I enjoyed them both quite a bit. But before Scream Factory, it seemed like catalog horror on Blu-ray was few and far between, and I thought that most of my movie collection would probably be stuck on DVD.

Wonder if this will have all the versions? Hope fully the Directors Cut is the one in 4k.

It's not a super reliable source. They didn't even give a release date or anything. I am sure if it's not in the May releases, we'll hear something about it soon enough if it's still coming.

I hope it's at least the director's and theatrical cuts are in 4K.

Skyscrapers pop up in Escape From New York, Q: The Winged Serpent, and Land of the Dead.

EDIT: Child's Play also takes place in an apartment several stories above ground.

I've probably blind-bought a couple dozen titles over the years from them. Not all were worthwhile, of course. Some clunkers for sure but definitely worth it for the rate of films I discovered through their line.

The only SF titles I’ve gotten rid of are some of the early IFC titles. With the exception of a few, such as The Autopsy of Jane Doe and The Babadook, most of the IFC titles weren’t something I needed a physical copy of in my collection. There have been far fewer catalog titles I bought that I don’t think I’ll revisit.

It got leaked a while back, and I believe Shout confirmed that it was coming in early 2021. So I expect it to be part of the May announcements. I’m hoping it includes all 3 cuts in 4K, along with the 3 Blu-rays from the previous release. Weren’t all 3 cuts from their previous release sourced from the 4K transfer?
