Yeah, I understand them wanting to limit on some of their titles so they aren't sitting on a bunch of unsold copies, but if this stuff sells out in two weeks, surely 2-3K copies would benefit everyone.

Yeah...the news promo that Shout sent out to this site, did not even declare that it would be a 1,000 LE. Just a release date of March 30 . I have been busy but had interest in this so I checked this thread (which I usually don't).

Scream Factory has announced that it will release on Blu-ray Alejandro Sessa's Amazons (1986) and Héctor Olivera's Barbarian Queen (1985). The double-feature release will be available for purchase on March 30.

Otherwise, I would be in ebay paying 3x-4x as much.

Feel free to rib me if I’m missing something, but can anyone tell me what cut is on this disc?
That's actually really close to my old DVD. Roger Corman's... Best of the B*s Collection 3, looks like a VHS rip and runs 1:10:49. This probably is the correct runtime for the cut down Corman version. The other info probably comes from an old incorrect source. But if anybody knows better, feel free to chime in.

That's how it might all be soon, given the masses are adapting to streaming for convenience. Not to mention most disc buyers put their wants and high priced/LE stuff in their bucket list hoping to drop to $5, and then find it gone due to selling out/licence issue/whatever.

Just ordered The Big Bust-Out as I did not even pay attention to it when I ordered Amazons/Queen Barbarian.

It should sell out that quickly. The Omen set was limited to 10,000 and it’s still available after almost 2 years.

Is there a list somewhere of scream Factory titles licensed from MGM that are still in print? I'm just wondering how many are left I know of: Night of the Lepus and Pumpkinhead.

Night of the Lepus is WB.

Crucible of Horror and Doctor Blood's Coffin are both MGM.

Anything with wide appeal or that has demand after selling out they'll release again (sometimes using a new gimmick) and the same goes for every other label.

In short, MGM titles released prior to 1986 are owned by Warner due to the Turner buyout.

Heheh, my copy of BIG BUST OUT just arrived, and it actually says 'running time +/- 75 minutes'. So yeah, if this actually is scanned from the neg, then this is the correct cut down Corman version. Which is signifigantly shorter than the Italian version of 'Io monaca... per tre carogne e sette peccatrici'.

I would love to see on Blu-ray The Boy Who Could Fly (1986), Strange Days (1995), Near Dark (1987) (Remastered with new interviews), Evolution (2001).

The email I received on my order for Event Horizon

Dear :

Thank you for your order on unobstructedview.com. We apologize for the wait for your item. Our supplier, Shout Factory, has experienced some corporate changes as well as extended supply chain delays with the worldwide plastic shortage, and they have informed us that they are hoping to be able to send more shipments to us starting at the end of April and running into May and June. It continues to be a weird time and we are all doing our best to keep you entertained.

We will ship out your order as soon as we receive the item in our warehouse. If you would like to cancel your order and receive a refund, please contact us at info@unobstructedview.com with your order number and/or the name you used to place your order, and we would be happy to process a refund.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience. We truly appreciate the support of our customers and we hope you’re all staying safe and home watching movies.

When do Shout announcements typically drop? Looking forward to the next batch (unless the next batch is supposed to be light?)

The next batch is supposed to be "epic". I'm guess we'll know what the titles are next Monday or the Monday following.

This motivates people to buy ASAP. Seems to the M.O. moving forward for Scalp Factory.

Scream wants a guaranteed return to make it worth their while. They've calculated that $27,000 is the minimum to make it worth their while. Their other option, at a lower price with more copies, would be to state up front that a title will be cancelled unless there are $27,000 in non-cancellable pre-orders.

Assuming you're in Canada, so Amazon.ca was also affected and won't start getting Event Horizon until May as well.
