If it says LIMITED EDITION and is a fairly low print run it will sell out quick. It doesn't matter how obscure or 'bad' a film is, it will sell out these days. Everyone seems to be trying to make a buck flipping LE's all over the place and it doesn't matter WHO releases them these days. I passed on those releases and will not pay scalper prices, because they weren't worth $27 or so for each to me, let alone $50+ they will be on the after market. I am just glad that I regularly visit these threads, or I would be a sucker paying scalper prices for these LE releases I really wanted.

I say, THANKS.. to you guys that post the information that these are available, so a schmuck like me can get in on these before they are gone. Without this forum, I would be a poor man.....

Same here. I have a tendency to want everything as I absolutely hate missing out on a title that I later on down the road discover something about it that makes me wish I had purchased it when it was available, but neither of these really resonated with me. I came this close on a few occasions but in the end went and placed an order of 5 titles from Kino for the same price that these two would have cost me.

My order from the Valentine's Day finally arrived today. Surprisingly, Psycho III and Dawn of the Dead '04 still had slipcover.

(That said, I don't intend on keeping them so if anyone is missing either slip in their collection and wants it, let me know!)

I would love it if they would release Mistress of the Apes. Now that we've got Barbarian Queen, to me that's the next one in line to go after.

I'll take a Lords of the Deep release. Maybe double-featured with a re-release of Up from the Depths.

The ARROW release has even better compression. Doesn't matter to me since I'm keeping both the ARROW and the Scream release. Because I can.

It's not an official list, but these are ones I know for sure were part of Castle Hill/Westchester catalog:

The Slipper and the Rose

Fear City

Donkey Skin

Dreamscape

Mikey and Nicky

Stagecoach

Baby Doll (Warner owns theatrical rights and reclaimed video and streaming rights)

The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea

Miss Firecracker

Fanny

I know there's more, as Shout put out a 1989 Michael Caine movie on Blu that was credited to Westchester.

I’m watching it right now and the runtime is 70:55. Anywhere I looked to see a runtime I’ve seen numbers like 1h 15m (75m) (United States, 1h 22m (82m) (West Germany, 1h 32m (92m) (Italy). Now, I know Corman cut the shit out of this, but this 70:55 is a number I haven’t seen represented anywhere. Perhaps it’s been discussed, but I’m trying to figure out the discrepancies with this discs runtime compared to what is previously known. Feel free to rib me if I’m missing something, but can anyone tell me what cut is on this disc?

I am a fan of the genre so I quickly jumped on the Amazons/Barbarian Queen LE but a 1,000 run is too low. Yeah, it would take a while longer to sellout but 2,000 would be more of a sweet spot imo.

Agreed. I'm surprised Shout went so low on that print run. Even Limited Run Games run its prints higher than this for PS4 and Switch titles.

Don't tell me that this is how publishers are going to prey on our FOMO for bluray movies, too.
