At this point that is my guess, or there might not be any releases for August as July was pretty stacked.

I expect August to be light given the packed July schedule and because they might want to get ready for September to November. I'd just like to know either way...

Those of you who are receiving notices or actual deliveries for He Knows You’re Alone and Eyes of a Stranger— did you order direct from Scream? I’m wondering why my order of Eyes... from Amazon (I got a fantastic discount on it because I downloaded and used their app for the first time) is still showing delivery on June 15, while their main listing for it says May 18, the original release date. Did anyone also order He Knows... from Amazon? What’s that situation like?

I ordered direct from Shout. My experience with Amazon lately is they either don’t get things in stock until after the street date, or their initial shipments don’t match the amount of preorders they have to fulfill. So if you don’t order right away, you may get bumped out

I just got in "He Knows...", "Eyes", and "Wildcats".


Still crickets on "Kong". And I ordered it direct (in fact, almost the whole month's slate) as soon as the pre-orders went up. From Shout directly. Makes NO sense.

Anyway, still waiting for "The Hand", "Explorers", and "City Slickers 2" to ship soon.

Yeah I’m definitely switching out my eco case for Eyes of a Stranger with a black one (ordered via Severin) when it comes. I do that with most of my blu rays, certainly all the horror titles, unless the clear case looks okay.

Got a reply from Scream. They will announce their August line up at the end of this month. They said it will be very light, but September onwards should make up for it. I'm OK with this as July was pretty stacked and it sounds like September and October will be as well.

Between this and the King Kong CE arriving at some locations with no slip is pretty annoying.

I (hopefully) assume that maybe they are going through a different warehouse maybe and this is happening without their knowledge?

If so, hopefully this gets corrected with future slates. Eco cases on $25+ releases is a bunch of bs.

I reckon this probably means Shout are skipping August almost entirely, save perhaps for the odd new/IFC title.

I really want Scream/Shout, or someone to release David a Robert Mitchell’s The Myth of the American Sleepover. I really like it, and I know there was a two pack with It Follows. But I missed it.

So if August is light, that's ok. There's plenty of other labels to get titles from, because Aug is stacked. Plus, SF goes hard in Sept and October, so others can save.

That is RIDICULOUSLY chintzy for a boutique label. Yeah, I have stacks of replacement cases, but I don't ever expect to need them when I buy from SF, Kino, Arrow or the like, especially for a 20+ release.
