That and the extras on the Indicator release are nothing to write home about, plus the VHS-inspired slipcover is a nice touch for this film.

For a "classic" slasher I personally don't hold in the highest esteem, the big difference in price made going with the MC disc an easy decision.

How about a release of Invasion of The Body Snatchers(1956) with the original ending, not the studio imposed happy one?

I wish Shout/Scream Factory would do something about their bluray playback issues. All of my bluray's play without a problem. It is when i put this brand of bluray's in my player that i can run into issues. I call these issued bluray's "retarded". My Sony bluray player loads the movie. Goes to play it. The counter is at all zeros (sometimes all dashes) and i get a black screen and that is it. When i go to eject the disc. The eject flashes on the screen and the dam disc isn't ejecting. I would have to pull the plug of my powerstrip that has all my components plugged into it out of the wall and back in again...in order to eject the disc. Then i try to play the disc again. And when it does the same thing, i have to go through this ritual over again. Sometimes the disc will play after several ritual attempts and other times it won't play at all from the start. Their bluray's suck!

Sound like your bluray player sucks , I've never had an issue with Shout movies.

Film elements for the original ending and 4:3 open matte version were destroyed in floods. Plus, Olive's rights are expiring soon and Paramount isn't licencing out to third parties anymore.

A good movie and the disc sucks you afterwards that's a bargain.

Are you using an old Sony player? This occasionally happened on my old Sony player but the same discs work fine on my newer Sony players and PS4/PS5.

Um, if you feel the need to have a weird name to call your “problematic” Blu-rays (AKA perfectly fine Blu-rays that are clearly being played in a rickety old player), you might want to come up with something else.

I already have more of a problem with this paragraph than I've ever had with a Scream release.
