Guys, the Price on Amazon will inevitably drop to probably $27.99 each before release. It always happens. In the end, all five 4K UHDs will probably end up around $140 on Amazon and Bull Moose. Just lock in a preorder at Amazon now and then you’ll get whatever lowest price is from now until release, and if it’s still too expensive for you then just cancel and wait for a sale (like Target’s B2G1).

If you don't need/want the posters then I suggest you wait. Amazon will inevitably have these a few dollars cheaper closer to release. The $36.99 price is the list price that factors in the included poster. Scream Factory themselves may very well lower the price $2- $3 once the poster has sold out as well if you like to buy directly.

I still haven't decided what I want to do with these. My initial reaction to all things horror is to buy immediately but these are films I've watched many times before and typically like to watch as part of a marathon, having done so in the last year. The releases of most interest to me are parts 4 & 5 as I believe those will yield the most significant image improvements but I'm not dying to revisit them either... especially if they are missing the newly uncovered footage talked about in 2019. I'm hoping to order maybe 1 title every other paycheck between now and October, but I'm not in a huge rush to acquire these so if I end up waiting... I end up waiting.

I'm in the same boat, the lack of new bonus features along with the meh artwork plus a nagging suspicion in the back of my mind we might get a full series 4k set for Halloween 2022 has me really balking at these. Might nab 1 + 2 if I see them in person but man.

If you can just wait until Amazon has them at half price during Black Friday. They have Arrow LE’s at half price a month after release, these are perfect for Black Friday and it’s only about 2 months after release you’d have to wait

Sucks that the commentary with Debra Hill and Carpenter from the Anchor Bay Halloween release isn't getting ported over. I'm sure it's rights or somethin' but I wish more would be done to honour Debra Hill.

The previous Carpenter UHD releases did not have a reverse cover to them.

The quote from their Facebook announcement:
