If they're playing the "Flash Sale" game, they won't tell anyone until the email is released.

Well, I didn't want to do this, but I might just as well. It's still not a 100% locked down, but a friend of mine knows someone that works at SF. According to him, we can expect a Halloween 4k Collection next year!
I can exclusively reveal that the Halloween 4K Collection: The How Many Versions of These Films Can We Get Away With Releasing Deluxe Edition, will include hours and hours of newly filmed features:
Secrets of a wig- Halloween II hair stylist looks back on Laurie's memorable hair.
Busting outta here- Busta Rhymes reminisces about his iconic showdown with Michael Myers.
Escape MOO - Halloween II's featured star Cow remembers being part of Michael's escape.
It all comes packaged with a limited edition Activia yogurt signed by Jamie Lee Curtis herself.

I got to come home from the Hospital on Sunday Afternoon and sort of exist between various states of consciousness thanks to energy levels that run red hot when the steroids are working and then near comatose when my energy levels run out.

It's very unpredictable but I'm improving. Not to further derail this thread but My body had a "strange" response to covid to say the least. I was treated for both Viral and Bacterial pneumonia as they weren't sure what exactly was going on and there wasn't a clear picture one way or another. My liver enzymes went nuts and essentially my body just didn't know what to do and sort of did a little bit of everything. At the moment I'm just sort of hanging around my house and resting most all day, but I try to clean and/or get up and help here and there as I can. Talking extensively is still out of the question as I lose my breath and keeping my focus while typing requires more work than it should but I'm improving and that's what matters. I'll spoil the rest so as not to completely clutter up this thread with irrelevant stuff.

[Show spoiler]I was actually sick 2 weeks ago but worked that Monday and Tuesday, took Wednesday off, worked all day Thursday and then took Friday off (I work from home these days thanks to budget downsizing that occurred recently and so no one was ever exposed to me). I had fevers and excessive sweats on that Monday and Tuesday and the usual cold/flu stuff but was chugging along ok I thought as I was home so it wasn't too bad. All of it had started on September 10th with a headache and fever but since it was a weekend day I had already taken off and dayquil/nyquil would help bring the fevers down, I didn't worry too much about it. Last week things started to get worse and so I had my wife set me up an appointment for that coming Thursday with the doctor but again at the time didn't give it too much thought as I was managing ok I thought. I took a downward turn on Wednesday night however as I laid on my couch praying that my wife would be able to get me to the doctor on Thursday morning as I couldn't sleep and could tell things were going south quickly with my overall health.

Thursday the 23rd she took me in at 10am as scheduled and I remember asking her that morning what I was supposed to do as It took all my energy/effort just to put on a shirt and shoes and get up off my couch. I'm not sure what my oxygen was, but it was concerning enough that several nurses took me to the hospital immediately upon my arrival. My wife wasn't told anything and no one knew how bad I was or not.

Generally speaking I'm a pretty healthy guy which is why the folks at the clinic had the response they did. I just turned 39, no history of serious illness (other than a kidney stone or two) usually weigh around 190lbs, don't smoke, don't drink but a handful of beers/cocktails throughout the year, am reasonably active, drink 60 - 100oz of water each day, etc.

When I arrived Thursday I couldn't keep my eyes open. I sat hunched in a wheelchair they gave me only vaguely aware of what was going on around me. I actually live in a small town near Lincoln NE (I've just never updated my location) and so the hospital/clinic I was at is/was small and easy to get situated in pretty quickly. It didn't take but a few moments to move me around the hospital but there was some initial confusion as the room they wanted to put me in had someone in it already finishing up from what I can vaguely recall and so I spent my first hour or so in a triage like room area as they got me on oxygen and tried to figure out what to do next.

Eventually they got me into a room and hooked up to some observation stuff and got the doctor in and started running labs. Much of the next 24 hours is/was a blur. I remember being on warm mist oxygen, hooked up to various IV’s and being both sweaty/hot and cold at the same time. I felt very, very small but also incredibly cramped. I never felt like I was going to die per se or anything like that but those first 36 hours or so felt like I (a 6'1" 185lb ish man) was compressed down to the size of a Hot Wheels car but that I was then all alone in the middle of a basketball court or football field. Everything felt very, very far away yet constantly encroaching on me. It was all incredibly uncomfortable and disconcerting. Breathing I felt remained ok but I have no actual idea of that.

As time went by and some of my lucidity returned I then had the usual array of non stop meds/nurse checks etc and that's when I remember the doctor telling me that basically my body was in full on inflammatory response mode and that things were sort of moving in all directions. He said that I'd need to stay for the weekend for observations and that some items looked good while others not so good. At one point the nurses/Doctor asked if I’d been drinking recently as my Liver had odd enzyme results from apparently what was it trying to fight off whatever was going on. Nights were tough as nurse checks came at 8pm, 11:30pm; and 2:30am and lasted around 30 minutes each at a minimum and they had to keep lights on in the room and so I just remember being sooo tired as I couldn't ever sleep fully and was constantly waiting for the next check up.

As I mentioned I was on oxygen and some IV’s but also ended up with around 6-7 shots to my stomach to help prevent bloodclots as a result as well and so those are what came with each nurse check/iv bag change.

On Saturday afternoon/evening my oxygen had improved enough that It was removed and allowed to breathe on my own which was wonderful as it helped with the night sweats. Saturday also saw the removal of some of the IV's and stuff which also helped my feeling of being pinned down and ability to finally use the bathroom. I spent the day watching tv and or trying to talk to people on my phone via text when I had the energy to do so and I think that may have been when I posted here about my hospitalization.

I felt so cut off from the world and my usual habits/routines that although that message was short, it took me over an hour to write and it's still all a bit of a blur. I just remembered thinking that it felt like I had been away from the boards for weeks and didn't want folks to think I had just up and left. It sounds stupid/strange I know but I think I was just looking for any sort of a connection to my usual life/routines and you guys all responded in ways I never would have imagined and couldn't have been more appreciative of. I also found myself thinking of Walt and Bill and their ordeal’s from last year/2 years ago when they both ended up in bad shape and hospitalized and how at the time they reached out just looking for some help and wished I’d done more at the time to communicate with them. This actually still bugs me somewhat as I wish I’d done more.

Saturday I mainly watched college football and slept while texting to some folks on my phone that checked in. Sunday then things had improved enough that I got to come home around noon. I took a shower and then pretty much rode the couch the rest of the day.

Since coming home I've been winded and seen my energy fluctuate. My cough and other issues have continued to improve but It's slow going and so I can only do so much at a time. By far the worst thing right now I have is what feels like a broken rib. It's chest inflammation I believe but it feels like I'm being stabbed on the outside on the right side of my chest while also like I have a chest burster alien coming through on the inside at the same time on my right side of my chest anytime I cough and so I have to physically hold my ribs in place whenever I cough to help.

Because of me losing around 15 pounds in the leadup and then hospitalization and also being laid out I've also had leg cramps that have made movement slow going but those have been getting better the last 2 days also and I’m hoping will be gone in the next 36 hours.

At times today I started to have energy that made me feel guilty for sitting around. At other points I’ve felt nauseas and too tired to do more than walk around my house or take the trash out.

This message was started this morning around noon but lucidity became a struggle and so I had to walk away and come back to it tonight again to finish it.

As I mentioned already, I have a wife and daughter and so I’ve been trying to act as normal as I can with them as well but that’s been a bit of a lost cause so far. (Though I’m getting closer).

I’ve always been someone that plans ahead as much as possible and so I had some 300 hours of sick leave I could tap into and so while I’ve been on FMLA I also thankfully have the resources to keep getting paid as well as I haven’t burned but 1-2 sick days per year for the last 7 years. I’m very fortunate to have had that set aside.

At this point to wrap up this already way too long response I’m lurking here and there and doing my best to post/contribute again as my energy (and nausea) has allowed while trying to catch up on what I may have missed over the last 2 weeks. Like I said, it’s been a weird time as I feel very cut off from a great many things right now and so some of me is just trying to catch up, other parts of me are trying to make sense as the old engine still isn’t quite running at full capacity. Ultimately each day I think things improve though and I’ve got a follow up on Friday which will hopefully tell me I’m getting close to normal again.

Sorry once again to everyone for cluttering up this thread and going way, WAY off topic last week. I was just looking for a connection to normalcy I think and you guys came through in spades which I will forever be grateful of.

They've probably managed to finally pin down Viva Elite style cases again so folks don't have to go through the the case roulette whenever they place an order, though I certainly would love to see some improvements to what they are calling collectors editions and/or a box set as well.

At this point for me Shout Factory has been pretty inconsistent over the last year or so in regards to the final packaged product where as they used to have a pretty solid grasp on things and so hopefully production wise things are starting to return to 2019 and earlier.

Hopefully you feel 100% soon, THBK. As always your contributions are greatly appreciated, though I think (and hope) I can speak for all of us when I say, your recovery is the most important thing!

Sorry once again to everyone for cluttering up this thread and going way, WAY off topic last week. I was just looking for a connection to normalcy I think and you guys came through in spades which I will forever be grateful of.
Is this the first time you have contracted covid19?

This is/was the first time I'd ever really been sick to even remotely any sort of degree like this. I've had the 24hr flu bug in the past (over a decade ago if I recall correctly) and had 2 instances of passing Kidney Stones (one in 2015 and the other this last July (youthful eating habits and working in the sun for 6 years lead to a big ass 6mm stone that developed in my 20's and then sat in my kidney until deciding to break loose this year) but beyond that I've never had any sort of serious illness in my life. That was a big part of my struggles now and why I got so sick. I never have had to go to the doctor in my life and so I just didn't know what to do/how bad things were getting when I was getting sick over the last 2 weeks, as dumb as that sounds.

Generally speaking I don't even really get headaches. So yeah, as far as I am aware this was my first/only time contracting Covid. I had thought I may have had it in winter 2020 and lord knows I was exposed to it a bunch of times at work over the last year thanks to some of the cleaning procedures/protocols and people that missed work that sat right next to me, but to the best of my knowledge I was officially never sick until now and again it was all the other stuff my body was doing that caused issues over just the Covid diagnosis itself.

Honestly, that was the part the Doctors/nurses appeared the least concerned with other than just trying to get an idea of the timeline of when I first got sick as it was all the other crud that put me in the hospital.

Listen, I was already in for Busta. . no need to include the yogurt. Now I'ma buy two

Take care man. Covid can be a real biyotch with a surprisingly long tail for some people. The important thing is to take things as they come, take adequate rest and good nutrition, and not fret about when you will bounce back to full normal.

No, history says the newest titles won’t be included.

As other have answered, new releases are not included. Also, expect that not everything is on sale. It will be select titles only.

Very solid month. Trog and No Way to Treat a Lady are 100% day ones. Lady in a Cage and Vampire Lover's are future possibilities for sure.

That's a great line-up. 3 new to Blu-ray Scream titles (2 Paramounts and a Warner) in there.

Another release of Vampire Lovers? With all of the other MGM titles they let go out of print, they re-up a deal for this one? I get there will be others because they get titles in package deals, but still…
