I haven't checked but those sound like WM price matches.

No landing page I could find thus far. Last year they did something similar however and the inclusion of the Strangeness as well as some other shout titles (and not just the newest releases) had me thinking this was more than simply a price match, but admittedly I could be wrong and they may simply be matching another competitor.

Thr fact that some newer titles (Dementia 13 I'm looking at you) still aren't price matched however made me think this was something else. Perhaps things officially kick off on Sunday and this is just a taste?

Got these on sale with free overnight shipping from Amazon.

These just arrived from Best Buy. Hopefully, Scream uses these chipboard slipcovers moving forward. They are really nice.

Care to put a picture of all 5 Halloween movies with their spines? I'm quite intrigued to see what they look like on a shelf. :P

Scream Factory's doing midnight announcements this time

Info for Vampire Loves
Quote:
You can never have enough Hammer Films —especially the classics. And that’s why we’re proud to sink our fangs in again into THE VAMPIRE LOVERS this winter to improve greatly upon our barebones Blu-ray release from 2013. Early details we have:
• National street date for North America (Region A) is Dec 21st.
• This will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release.
• The newly commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from artist Mark Maddox. This art will be front-facing, and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original theatrical artwork.
• Extras will be announced on a later date, but we can confirm today that there will be a lot of them to justify the double-dip including a brand-new upgraded HD transfer of the film!

I know these have already leaked, but the official reveals on a Sunday night? I know Scream are typically erratic with their announcements but this surely takes the cake.

How did the person who leaked the new releases last week know? Does he/she work for SF?

Yep, a retailer posted them early. Think they got in trouble though as they took them down soon after, right after Dawn of the Discs linked directly to them all..Probably the last time we'll get a leak from them, though we've said that before. I believe they were the same retailer responsible for leaking all of the Halloween UHD's.

The source I used to leak the October announcements didn't leak anything this time.

I really hope they actually produce some extras for Trog and Lady in a Cage. Obviously they wouldn’t be able to get many actor interviews, but it’d be a great opportunity for some video essays or critical analyses. I always prefer those types of features instead of talking head actor interviews anyway.

Pre-ordered four titles from December. Even though they were absent for like the first four months of the year, this has been a solid year from Shout.

I found this article about the Needful Things Extended Cut and why it's rare, Kino Lorber released it (but they don't have a deal with Warner Bros), and Shout does. TBS commissioned Columbia Pictures and Fraser C. Heston to make a mini-series out of the movie, and I listened to a commentary on the Maximum Overdrive, and Tony Magistrale (author of Hollywood's Stephen King) discusses the extended cut as the superior cut over the theatrical version since the TV cut fleshes out the characters more as an example. I hope Scream Factory can re-release this with the extended cut

How about an audio commentary track with James Caan for LADY IN A CAGE?

The TV version of Needful Things is available in Germany through Koch Media. It is presented in open-matte 1.33:1 and upscaled to 1080p from a decent SD video master. The disc is Region B, though:

I think what’s going on with army of darkness uhd blu ray is there trying to find all the footage of the movie to give us the ultimate uhd release.
