That does look interesting. I don’t have their latest Phantasm release (I do own the older box set though) but I own a lot of other Well Go releases & don’t really have a problem with them.

I won't boycott Well Go if they release something I want - but no matter how I look at it the latest Phantasm release was done dirty even with the replacement discs. They left a sour taste in my mouth because of it.

There's several Chinese special effects films from the past couple of years that I really would like to see, so the more labels that pick them up the better.

So Shout is releasing a new Toho film. Has Shout ever released Toho live action film before? I think they have with Anime before right? Just would love to see some more Kaiju films and maybe it's possible since they seem to be working with Toho?

I assume you're referring to Signal. It's a brand new film and those are usually are more available for license than catalog titles. It's not like Funimation was grabbing up any vintage films when they released a few recent Toho flicks. Shout is also working with Toei for Kamen Rider but the output has been small so far.

But maybe they'll squeeze something out if they build good relations.

I've always wondered why some international studios are more willing to license out newer films versus older ones. You would think they would want to make money on those older films versus no money and have them be forgotten.

Expedition of exposure. They're going to milk newer films to make back the money spent on them. Shout may not have even went to Toho for the film, a third party may have been handling it for them and Shout was the highest bidder.

I have zero interest in 4K, but I guess I'll be getting The Sword and the Sorcerer to have it on Blu-ray finally.

I was thinking the same thing. When there's two you qualify for free shipping, but $27 for the disc, $3 for tax, and $6 for shipping? No, I have to pass.

Yeah, the two hitting the free shipping threshold is a no brainer. I would order them both immediately.

I rarely pre-order directly from SF. Last thing was probably the F13 box set. But I think I'm going to do that with the Sword and the Sorcerer to get that sweet poster.

How's the movie? Love 50's and 60's monster movies, including Corman's Attack of the crab monsters but somehow this one has always escaped me. It comes back to 50$ CAD so it's pretty expensive but i do love me some monsters!

Would love if they released the One Missed Call remake with the same treatment that Krampus got. I remember at the time, Eric Valette said the dvd would include his real cut, with all the gore, but that never happened after the film bombed. We didn’t even get any special features. I’ve always been curious of what could have been.

same here, last order F13 but that poster is commanding me to purchase. I am sure it won't last long

You can preorder some of those regular March titles along with the exclusive if you wanted to save on shipping. Shout ships as items become available - no waiting.
