I wish Scream Factory would release the TV movie, The Haunted (1991). It's one of the most chilling supernatural horror films I've ever seen.

It's nice to wish things, but you also have to factor in whether they could actually get it, and in this case, that's going to be a no. It's from Fox, which means, Disney owns it.

Not officially, no. I think in the UK it might have gotten one.

By accident this past weekend, I noticed in Talking Pictures TV's listings a screening of Vice Squad. Watched a few minutes of it and quite liked it. Still waiting for a UK release of it (and like a couple of other films (neither starring Wings Hauser), both have had releases in the States by Shout).

Just now getting around to ordering the new Corman exclusive, Day the World Ended. Sifted through the bargain bin to make free shipping:

The double features were $15.97 and $13.95 each, bringing my cart total to $56.90. Never seen either of the Scanners sequels, and The Night of the Sorcerers / The Loreley's Grasp seemed pretty entertaining from Shout's promo trailer. Pretty decent haul, $11.38 per movie.

Agreed! I also loved the 1965 That Darn Cat as a kid, and always found her hilarious in that (still do!). I’d be very curious to see her in a dramatic role.

Another film I can't believe has never made it to blu ray. Hopefully this year from the DMC.

Back on topic: I LOVE these exclusives! Sure, they are over priced but if this is the only way they can get released then so be it. I never thought Bluebeard would get a release of any kind. I wish Shout/Scream would do one a month (at least)...

Well the release was 7 Dec, the real question is why Shout didn't have it in stock soon enough so they could ship it to you by release date.

Always proceed with caution....when pre-ordering from Shout. Good chance that you may not get your shipment in time for the Holiday.

I received my disc with poster direct from Shout in late November. Have you emailed them to check what's up?

Just ordered The Temp and Whispers In the Dark from Amazon. Prices are good and I get free Prime shipping. Best of all - no upfront payment. I may actually get it before Shout (had I ordered from them).

I'd be interested to know what the transfer is like on Whispers of the Dark. It's one of the titles announced by Shout during this past autumn/fall that I'm interested in getting (although I've been collecting more of Shout's physical media DVD releases of older television series than their releases of films).

I mentioned it on the Vinegar Syndrome board earlier this year when they were releasing the tv movie boxset and someone said that it was Fox so it's nowwith Disney so very doubtful.

That sucks. What that means is that we will never get a Blu-ray or even a DVD release of the film. Guess I'm stuck with my burned DVD-R copy that I purchased online years ago. F%#* Di$ney.

I would like to see a blu ray releases of The Haunting of Sarah Hardy (1989), Nightmare on the 13th Floor (1990) and Amazing Stories (the television series). I'm really looking forward to the 4K release of Alligator.

I went to DiabolikDVD last night and preordered...

Alligator 4K
The Howling 4K
Alligator II - The Mutation
Paranoiac
Summer School

Alas, I won't be receiving these until March at the earliest, because I ordered the Synapse Phenomena 4K in the same batch without thinking about what I was doing.

I'll preorder The Sword and the Sorcerer 4K and Nightmare soon after New Year's.

That Darn Cat has always been one of my favorite Disney classics and I can't believe it has never been released on BD (though it is showing on Disney+ in a beautiful HD print). Dorothy Provine was also great in her early B-movies (before her WB series The Roaring 20s) like The Bonnie Parker Story, Live Fast, Die Young and Riot in Juvenile Prison.
