I don't have high hopes of the rest of the films in the series getting the same kind of treatment but, frankly, I don't need them to. Well, maybe Curse. Got the box tucked away in a closet for now but I think, eventually, gonna have to let it go

I don't even want to think of the Friday the 13th films getting deluxe 4K treatment Upgrade or not? We all know it'll happen eventually.
The series is garbage outside 1-3.

I don't think so. The Scream site does not list it as it is.

I wonder if Scream could make a deal with Warner for this, as I don't know if Warner would release a 4K of it in the US. Either way, hopefully we get the Hitcher in the US.
Why not just get Second Sights release?

OCD issues. I only get releases outside of the US/CA under extreme last measures.

I'd encourage you to get it as well, but I want to make sure I secure a copy as I expect this one to go quickly so it's best you wait for a US release.

Seriously though, those Second Sight Limited Edition releases are wonderful and are highly recommended for folks interested in the film. (Just make sure to leave me a copy as well when the pre-order goes live).

So looking forward to this one. I've only been wanting this one for years! 😆 I'm debating about keeping the poster or giving away on my podcast.

I really miss the days when Scream/Shout would produce a 30-90 minute, properly edited “making of” which compiled various interviews together into one engaging piece. I can’t stand these long lists of single interviews that are like, 30 minutes each of the interview subject rattling off their entire career history.

Very few of these interviews are actually worth watching even once to be honest. Once in a while there's an engaging "chat" with someone who spills interesting tidbits but it's mostly "it was fun working with so and so" kind of stuff. And I quote the word chat because you never see the interviewer so it's more like a one-sided conversation. I'd like to see an actual casual setting where both participants are visible. That could make watching the discussion worthwhile.

I would take this any day over VS commentary with podcast people who just make jokes and stuff. I have never really gone back and watched any Blu Ray extra more than once. But it gets crazy when you see like 8 people listed and you get like 3 minutes of cool info.

I don't watch either but I'd rather take content from people actually involved with the movie than commentary tracks by unfunny nerds who desperately wish they were MST3K.

Cool that even the sequel is getting a 4k scan, I can’t wait to check both of these out ! Every since I saw the trailer featured in ‘Trailer Trauma’ I knew I had to track it down, hoping it lives up to the hype i’ve created

The editing of these interviews doesn't do them any favors either. They stop the flow of the interview to place the question asked as text on the screen. It is so lazy. I wish that they would dump Justin Beahm and go with one of the many companies that specialize in special features. He brings nothing new to the table and actually makes these interviews worse.

I more happy Scream stopped using that Sean Clarke guy who visits movie locations. Guy is super annoying.

I do like the suggestion on poster said above on editing the interviews together to make a mini doc. Would be a lot more fun to watch than just a talking head for 20 minutes.

So, Todd, the Paramount employee on Twitter was asked about a Simple Plan. His response was something along the lines of "I can't reveal that information, but it's in good hands". It sounds like Paramount may not be releasing it directly, but maybe through Scream. Really hope so.
