I do hope the Zombie films get the UHD treatment as well with them. Having both the Theatrical and Unrated cuts for both would be great.

I would love for that to happen, but apparently those are with Lionsgate now and not Paramount.

Yeah, I absolutely despise the unrated version of RZ's Halloween, and I had to buy the Canadian 2-pack to get the theatrical version. I wouldn't touch a UHD if it didn't include the theatrical version.

(and then with his Halloween 2 it's pretty much the opposite, the theatrical one is vastly inferior)

The Night Creatures cover really leans hard into the practically non-existent horror aspect of it! That US trailer was pretty funny, how they tried so hard to hype it up as a Hammer horror when the UK marketing/title was just about what it was - a fun pirate adventure kind of movie.

For those interested, here's a list (as always, may not be entirely correct) of Scream Factory-relevant titles from the Miramax/Dimension library which I believe should now be controlled by Paramount (being pre-October 2005), and therefore potentially (always the key word) available to Scream Factory:

[Show spoiler]Rampage (1987)
Godzilla vs Biollante

Hardware
Dust Devil
Fortress (1992)
Hellraiser III: Life on Earth
Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice
The Dark
Mother's Boys
Angel IV
The Club (1994)
The Crow
The Road Killers
Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Highlander III: The Sorcerer
The Prophecy
Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering
The Crow 2: City of Angels
From Dusk Till Dawn
Hellraiser: Bloodline
Nightwatch (1997)
Mimic
Scream 2
Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror
The Faculty
From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money
Halloween H20
Phantoms
The Prophecy II
Tale of the Mummy
Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return
Existenz

The Crow: Salvation
Dracula 2000
From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter
Hellraiser: Inferno
Highlander: Endgame
The Prophecy 3: The Ascent
Scream 3
Children of the Corn: Revelation
The Hole (2001)
Mimic 2
The Others
Below
Darkness (2002)
Dracula II: Ascension
Halloween: Resurrection
Hellraiser: Hellseeker
They (2002)
Mimic 3: Sentinel
Mindhunters
The Crow: Wicked Prayer
Dracula III: Legacy
Hellraiser: Deader
Hellraiser: Hellworld
The Prophecy: Uprising
The Prophecy: Forsaken
Venom (2005)

Of course, a number of these have already been released on Blu-ray, and Scream are probably only going to double-dip on the more notable ones. I think the only real chance of getting upgrades of the various Children of the Corn (certainly after 3), Prophecy (barring the first) and Hellraiser films is in a box set.

I'd love to see SF put out an uncut version of Scream, but given Paramount's recent 4K release again I'd say the only chance of that is if they can do a trilogy set, but it seems improbable Paramount would sub-licence it.

With Night Creatures announced does that leave just Paranoiac from that old Universal blu-ray set?

Not with Paramount, unfortunately. They were released under TWC banner, and are now with Lionsgate.

I prefer both unrated cuts, though I think the first film's escape scene is much better in the theatrical cut.

[Show spoiler]And while I prefer the 'everyone dies' ending in the director's cut of Halloween II, I think the theatrical cut's decision to have Laurie kill Michael is much more interesting.

If they do Hellraiser and Children of the Corn, hopefully they can work out a deal with Arrow with the films that Arrow has the rights to in NA (or at least leave a space in the box for the films, if need be.)

I think, in terms of double dip, the most likely would the three Halloween titles if SF's able to get the rights again. People are clamouring for 4Ks after the first five came out last year. Scream already has their own repertoire of bonus features from when they did the box set, and they'd easily be high sellers for them.

I'd also add Teaching Mrs. Tingle to the list of things that would be in SF's wheelhouse. It hasn't really developed a cult following in the way other films have, but it was a late 90s thriller that was written and directed by Kevin Williamson. I doubt it'd get a full-blown CE from Scream, but I could see them at least putting it out with some a couple of interviews and whatnot.

The JPBD is region free and has English subs if you didn't know. A bit pricey though.

Let's hope that incorrect 2.00:1 goes away, as that film should (most likely) be 1.75:1 (and I know some will say 1.66, and, while that would be okay, very few UK films were composed for 1.66 by 1962).

Also, as to the cast in the film, I was surprised to see Michael Ripper credited with Quatermass and the Pit, as he is not in the 1967 released feature film, but, I did check and he is in the 1958-59 British TV mini-series. Still, I'm surprised that they did not list a feature film (such as Quatermass II): A small thing I admit, but it confused me when I saw it.[/QUOTE]
My German BD from Anolis is 1.79:1. Maybe this will be used for this new Collector’s Edition?

These new Happy Death Day releases will add yet more posters from Scream Factory to my collection that I have yet to frame. Are you guys better at actually framing these things than I am? Is there a common frame recommendation around here?

Yeah, I've been on the fence on getting that as well as Brother. I just really want every film to get a decent release here, but if I don't see anything in the next few years, I'll probably get them. Brother is one that has never been uncut in the US before, so hoping Shout/Arrow gives this one a go at some point as they deal with Sony.

If the Miramax titles are fair game my number 1 want would be a Children of the Corn Box set though unfortunately that seems incredibly unlikely to ever happen thanks to Arrow holding the US license of the first film. I'd have a hard time turning down a Hellraiser boxset if such a thing could happen, but again, I don't see it happening with parts 1 & 2 with Arrow.

That basically leaves me wanting/hoping for 4k/Blu Ray combo's of The Crow and From Dusk Till Dawn, and then standard blu ray editions of the sequels from each of those franchises. I do feel like the Film "They" seems very likely as well. From the list Barndoor posted here's what I'd be down for...

[Show spoiler]Hellraiser III: Life on Earth
Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice
The Crow
Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest
Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering
The Crow 2: City of Angels
From Dusk Till Dawn
Hellraiser: Bloodline
Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror
Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return
The Crow: Salvation
From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter
Hellraiser: Inferno
Children of the Corn: Revelation
Hellraiser: Hellseeker
They (2002)
The Crow: Wicked Prayer
Hellraiser: Deader
Hellraiser: Hellworld
