Kino lorber insider told me in that thread that shout renewed the films off of volume 1 but Kl just released a dual of both phibes films so that can't be totally right.

I could probably get volume 1 for about 50 60 bucks still but who knows for how much longer.
It's already been re-released once (with the intros removed). I wouldn't expect another rerelease, especially with other companies releasing some of the titles.

In the last 2 weeks? That deal only closed recently but was known and in the works for months. If the deal was made in the last 2 weeks, that's very good news, if however it occured in the last few months. That doesn't mean much since the deal would have been negotiated with the old owners and not Amazon.

Well kino lorber insider did say they renewed some of the titles. They did release a standalone of masque of the Red death about the time of the re-release.

Scream just posted on their FB that Vincent Price collection 1 is back in stock. They were likely just between pressings.

As far we know, Jeeper Creepers never had anyone hurt on the set. Those films do have a decent size fanbase, it won't surprise me if SF re-releases them again in 4K. Most people care about the art, not the artist. Look at Rurouni Kenshin afterall.

I know I'm guilty of imposing my own expectations on a movie, but Jeepers Creepers was such a crushing disappointment for me in my formative movie-watching years.

Until
[Show spoiler]the antagonist reveals itself to be a gargoyle creature,
I thought it was humming along as a pitch-perfect horror/thriller.

My disgust was so profound I had to stop it and walk away, wonder if I should try again with a fresh set of...peepers.

Don't know about anyone else but I vastly prefer Jeepers 2 over the original. Not that the original isn't good, just that the sequel was just more entertaining IMO. Loved the school bus setting and the ending was epic. I've never seen the third film. Should I?

Man, Meatcleaver Massacre is my kind of trash. This feels like something Vinegar Syndrome would release. it looks amazing too compared to the youtube rips that are available. I hope Shout continues releasing 70s and 80s titles like this as exclusives

Roger Corman Action Packed just came back in stock too. They sold their predetermined allotment and pulled these from the sale. They were in no way OOS outside the scope of the Corman Sale.

Nothing to see here folks, keep moving along.

I hope Scream Factory can release Return of the Living Dead in 4K UHD unless Kino beats them first.

I wouldn't read too much into it. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's for the documentary that they were doing for the entire Child's Play franchise, kind of like Crystal Lake Memories. From what I remember they were holding out for an interview with Jennifer Tilly and some other key personnel from the films.

Here's some more info:

I hope SF will try to get the rights to release Scream 2-4 on UHD since Paramount doesn’t seem to have any interest to do so.

They only have the rights to the first 3, not 4. I have a feeling Paramount will end up releasing the sequels on UHD next year to coincide with Scream 6.
