- FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER
- THE HAUNTED PALACE
- THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH
- THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM
- WITCHFINDER GENERAL- and its alternate U.S. version of the film, THE CONQUEROR WORM
- THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES

More details (artwork, exact street date, pricing, extras, etc.) to be revealed in June-July so stay tuned you "Screamers"--as one of fans affectionately put it.
This is sweet! The only thing that could make if better would have been House on Haunted Hill which is in the public domain.

Sorry but that doesn't work... it was the same when they were named dvdaf, so it isn't an excuse at all. You can believe they are highly reliable, but they aren't more than any other database as long as the contribution come from the users and not the industry.

I just don't like when an online database is presented as the gospel of god, because some people will take everything written in it as truth and start bothering companies for things they never said.

That as well as The Tingler and The Last Man on Earth. Different studios own the rights to those I'm guessing.

I could see The Last Man On Earth as it is a MGM title and shout has alot of MGM product. The Tingler with either be Mill Creek (as a double feature like Mr Sardonicus) or Twilight Time since it is a Sony title. I wouldn't mind a double feature of 13 Ghost and The Tingler

Haha to be fair though, Cliff did mention in my video interview with him that they had some Vincent Price movies so this shouldn't be all that shocking. To be honest, I'm most surprised and thrilled to see that "Dr. Phibes" made it onto the set because with the TGG deals I wasn't sure what that meant for some ideal MGM titles. Guess we know now

Amazing announcement and here I was going to go for the Arrow Usher.

Now if I can get Theatre Of Blood, the rest of the Corman Poes and the 2nd Phibes that would be amazing.

Still, no looking a gift horse in the mouth, this is a great sounding release.

That's what has me thrown off. Cliff said that they couldn't get certain films because they went to The Garr Group, but The Pit and the Pendulum, The Masque of the Red Death and The Abominable Dr. Phibes all had TGG DVD and/or DVD-R releases last September and November. I was of the assumption that those would be among the films that weren't available to Scream Factory. It has me hopeful that other TGG-distributed titles might be available for additional volumes at some point.

If they're doing that, get Dead of Winter. From what I can tell, it's something classy so give the label some classiness.

Really excited about the Vincent Price box set; great news! Too bad no Theater of Blood.

Does Cliff still drop into this thread? Curious about two MGM titles: the original Night Stalker movie, and Cutter's Way (not Scream Factory, but if he answers questions in here I might as well just ask here rather than find another thread).

As much as I love Shout's announcements so far, Arrow's announced The Last American Virgin. That's up there with Shout's announcement of Kentucky Fried Movie as something I never expected to see...

He's probably just lurking. I've seen him post in other threads. Plus he's probably got a ton of work to do, with all these great releases!

tgg direct only has a license to distribute the mgm titles as triple and double features on dvd only.(when has anyone bought a tgg direct blu ray) and they don't have an exclusive rights to specific titles. Meaning, they can distribute death wish 2,3, & 4 on dvd as a triple feature and mgm can distribute them the next month on blu ray. Same with lifeforce, tgg direct can release it on dvd with two other titles and the next month mgm can leased it out to shout for a blu release.tgg direct should not have anything to do titles being leased to shout from mgm.
:-)

No, I'm with you on that...as I posted earlier about it...but I don't think it's on SF's plate at this time.
I'm hoping that the fairly high sales of Willow will cause some of the studios to release their 80's "Sword & Sorcery" movies on BD.

Ummm...

I apologize if I come across as a jerk and such, but if you "only buy DVDs", then what are you doing on a Blu-Ray website?
