Thanks for the reminder lol. Not preordering any Shout title anymore since BB is going to put them on shelves on street date (or earlier).

I just purchased the 2013 Evil Dead BD from Amazon and revisited the film. It has it's moments but the jump scares (someone running past the camera) and athletic girl ghosts with CGI enhanced makeup are beyond tiresome. The cast are, as expected, just random people to be picked off. No one you really care about. An overall disappointing remake by sellout original Producers.

Don't know if I want to double dip on The Fog. If I decide to grab the Shout edition I'll only do so to replace the flimsy Studiocanal set. That disc was said to have PQ issues although for the life of me I don't remember what it was exactly. Maybe Shout will have an opportunity to improve on it?

Standard edition for me with the original poster art. The poster from Shout will almost certainly be that as well.

Army of Darkness, The Fog, and Evil Dead for me. Hopefully Army of Darkness and Evil Dead include all of the cuts in 4K.

Studio Canal's version of The Fog had compression issues. It may have been more visible on TVs with Dolby Vision, but on my TV that only has HDR, I thought the 4K and HDR looked excellent.

If I remember correctly, Studio Canal's 2.0 track was a down mix of the 5.1, so it didn't include the original audio. Scream Factory's version should also fix that.

Both tracks also have a pitch issue.

Good news on evil dead 2013 it’s includes the unrated cut but army of darkness is only including two cuts in uhd so I guess only the theatrical and international cuts.

Not sure I like the cover art for The Fog 4K steelbook. As much as I like steelbooks, I think I'll go with the slipcover version.

Oh wow. Ok, there is still a lot of good stuff left. I do wonder what the hold up is for THE TERMINAL MAN, as it was mentioned it was coming years ago.

Wish Scream would release some new to disc and new to blu ray horror movies instead of 4K upgrades.

The Phantom of Rue Morgue 3D (1954), is probably coming from WAC just as WHV handed down House of Wax 3D (1953) to WAC.

Also, for TV (not HBO), you left out Stephen King's The Shining (1997) which already has WAC DVD release as does the other horror titles on your TV list.

I'm sure this isn't what you had to mind, but there is one coming that's new to disc/BD in the US:

A lot of these could end up coming from WAC in the end (and something like an expensive 3D restoration most of all). I'd hope they have a few on tap for later in the year.

You've reminded me I should probably also add the 2004 Salem's Lot (I guess some might actually want it )

So most new-to-Blu titles from Shout going forward will be brand new films it seems. Bummer

Army of Darkness slip and The Fog slip editions for me. Hopefully Highlander actually happens too, plus the incoming Python movies on UHD Friday the 13th UHD. What a month!

So what are the chances of Terror Train making it onto 4k?

Evil Dead '13 is a welcomed surprise, though it appears to be 4K only but that's fine. The Steelbook for AOD looks nice but I'll just get the standard to match my other editions.

Feel bad for y’all that haven’t transitioned to 4K yet. Slim pickings otherwise.
