Well I guess it was bound to happen with at least one of the September ones.. Army of Darkness delayed to October 4th. Just a week's difference from original release date, so not bad.

This doesn't bode well for October Announcements. If Halloween 6,7,8 are announced, would they even arrive for Halloween? |

They're probably just covering their butts with an extra week just in case. I'm sure someone will post an unboxing video on yt like a week before despite the delay |

I really don't mind the delays, but it just seems odd they are one of the only labels this seems to be consistent with. |

I have to imagine some of the delays are a result of an extra that had to be re-scheduled or something. Happens with Kino releases too. There have been delays because of manufacturing bottlenecks too, but those usually affect a larger amount of titles, rather than s one or two.

Yep. If there's nothing today, presumably they're skipping July. Infact, any release announced now might well appear as a 2nd August title anyway.

I cancelled my order for Army of Darkness and The Fog which was originally $175.80 and used the discount code to reorder. New price of $142.04. Very nice savings for something I was already willing to spend full price for.

There doesn't seem to be any other supporting evidence that either title was even acquired by Shout! Factory, let alone cancelled. I think there was an assumption by many (including Wynorski) that Shout! cleared out Corman's catalog when they announced their co-acquisition of "270 Roger Corman films and an action sci-fi TV series" with Ace Film HK, but I think that assumption significantly under-estimated the size of Corman's holdings. Filings were made with the US Copyright Office, by both Shout! Factory and Ace Film, shortly after the acquisition. The combined lists are very close to ""270 Roger Corman films and an action sci-fi TV series" and there are a number of key Corman titles that were omitted. Among the omissions are both of the Sorority House Massacre sequels. [Show spoiler] I do recall Scorpion and/or Code Red (I don't recall which, at this point) kinda, sorta announcing them, but that was eons ago and things certainly don't look promising on that front, either. I do hope someone will eventually release these films, but I wouldn't hold my breath on any more "breaking news" from Jim Wynorski's mouth or social media accounts. ![]() |

Great post! Thank you. I guess that kind of clears it up. They don’t strike me as titles that would be held up, based on other titles that have been released.
As with most things, I guess it will be a waiting game. |

Wynorski is his own worst enemy. He's announced titles that do eventually show up, many years after his "announcements."
