Wasn't expecting anything new to Blu-ray for October, but I really hope we see something before the end of the year (the last one being Fire in the Sky in June, site exclusives notwithstanding).

Would've been nice to get the individual releases of the rest of the Halloween films if only for the continuity. Gonna look awkward on the shelf together but what the hey. Curious about Halloween Resurrection - does everyone hate it, even diehard franchise fans? I don't think it's so horrible. I think of it sort of like how everyone thinks of Part III - as a standalone film. Michael Myers just happens to be in it

I guess we'll get the official announcements tomorrow.

Individual releases would have been nice. It’s possible that Paramount wouldn’t agree to that though.

I don’t really hate Resurrection. I don’t really think it is any weaker than Curse. And I find both are better than the worst of aNoES or F13. My problem is that Resurrection managed to screw up two decent concepts by bolting them together. Myers working through an asylum without realizing he’s been set up works as a concept. A group of people going into the Myers house and somehow causing his return also works as a concept (almost Halloween as a ghost story). Unfortunately neither concept got to breathe as the movie uses both. I also thought that the “how he survived H20” explanation was terrible. I’d honestly rather just there being no explanation. He’s the boogeyman. And the boogeyman can’t really die.

I'm seriously asking... aren't people around here getting sick of doing that??

Does it make sense to buy movies over and over again and sell outdated versions for less than what they paid for them?

It's better then sending them to goodwill and getting nothing for them. If it's a movie i want the best possible version of, I'm gonna upgrade and sell the old.

Will there be any way to buy H20 individually? I only want H20.

My guess is a contractual obligation. That was the only one they could get 6-8 when they did the box set.

I wonder what the 15 disc BD set will be worth once the 4K release for Halloween 6-8 is confirmed.

Until all of this is confirmed, consider the fact that 6-8 are all Miramax, they may have to release them together due to the contract to acquire them for 4K release.

Easy pass for me on the "Halloween box set." Only wanted Curse but very excited for Return of the Living Dead. Also don't expect the producers cut of Curse to be UHD. With Shout's track record (Lifeforce and Army of Darkness) only the theatrical cut will be UHD.

Listing is live at Shout's website for anyone who didn't see the Halloween thread: https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7899

However, it does confirm that the producer's cut will in fact be in 4K.

Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be a US-only release:

Very surprised both cuts of H6 are getting UHD. If anyone wants to sell me Curse, shoot me a pm.

Hopefully Curse isn't extra scratchy stacked discs.

If anyone has the posters for 1-5 from last year and is interested in selling, feel free to hit me up. I've been kicking myself for missing them, and wanna grab the poster set for these releases.

Not sick of the process of selling, although it can be tedious, just sick of people not buying. "Pre-owned" seems to translate to "Why should I pay more than a dollar or two" to most people, who only want rock bottom prices. Nobody takes into consideration the time and effort, not to mention money, it takes to sell stuff. I never expect people to pay what I paid, not for used product, but fer chrissakes don't be so cheap

I would like to thank Shout for sending me a random 20% off code last week. Was waiting for the Halloween set to be announced so I could do a sizable order. Grabbed the Child's Play 1-3 with poster and 2 extra slips, Army of Darkness, Evil Dead, Return of the Living Dead & The Halloween set. Got $69 off (hehe)

Since you're the first to openly admit to pre ordering the Halloween 6-8 set, which film did you purchase for? Certainly not Resurrection?
