Movies Unlimited also ship items as they become available so if you place a preorder and include a currently in-stock title, they ship the in-stock title. That's a huge plus for me.

I'm glad you mentioned that as though I was aware of the code being multi-use, initially I was so focused on the Halloween set that it didn't really dawn on me that I had orders for Child's Play 1-3 and Coneheads in at Amazon currently which would benefit from this. As a result of switching my orders over to Movies Unlimited I ended up saving nearly $30. Total cost for the Child's Play 1-3 4k's and Coneheads ended up being only $77.53 after tax.

As I understand it, Rob wanted to make a Michael movie, and then a Laurie movie if the first was successful. Halloween 2 (2009) basically is that Laurie movie. The Weinsteins asked for the extra kills and The Lords Of Salem (2012) is probably a clearer version of the movie Rob was trying to make.

I'm not sure what else can be done to Halloween (2007) since it was messed with more. There's probably some alternate universe out there that has a Halloween with Michael giving brutal, individual kills to Lew Temple, Leslie Easterbrook, Bill Moseley, Courtney Gains, and Tom Towles in an insane asylum for an entire movie. At least we have two versions of his escape.

Cool deal from Movies Unlimited with the $82.38 price . The only thing keeping me from ordering the set.... from Movies Unlimited is the Scratched Disc issue. How easy will it be to exchange when the set arrives with scratched discs?

Super easy. Just email Scream Factory with proof of the purchase and proof that you have the disc plus damage and they send them out in no time. Less than two weeks time.

Does anyone know if Watchers, Watchers III and Reborn are streaming? Just picked up the W2 blu and would like to watch *possibly* better copies than the VHS copies I own.

Couldn't find them on any movie streaming service, but they're all available on Youtube in varying quality.

anthony, have done a post search in this thread, and based on the post by yourself I found (about multiple Shout Blu-ray film titles which had been discounted quite a bit in price), I assume you've got a copy of this Scream Factory title, Motel Hell. I was going to get Arrow's UK release, but decided to wait because I remember reading at the time (or sometime afterwards) that Shout's Blu-ray release or re-release had a better transfer. If you did get this release, I'd appreciate any comments on the transfer, audio, extras etc. as I've been thinking about getting Shout's release.

You may be better off waiting a bit for a true 4K UHD version. The remastered Shout Steelbook Blu-ray is from a 2020 4K scan of the original camera negative, and with the way Shout have been pumping out the 4Ks lately, there's little doubt that this will be getting upgraded too.

However, if you're not 4K ready or are uninterested in it, go for the Shout Steelbook Blu-ray. It's the best 1080p in the format. The older Shout and Arrow Blu-rays are fine as they were both based off the same source, but the original Shout is definitely the weakest of the bunch. Compression blocks are all over the place. I have first-hand experience on that because I sold it to get the Arrow Blu-ray which is encoded much better.

Shout's steelbook release for Motel Hell is great. Everything about the disc is aces. Transfer is a huge upgrade.
