The Pacific Heights BD is atrocious, I'd hold back if you have the DVD, and wait for a better option.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it happens all the time to movie collectors. It's so ridiculous that it's become a running joke between my son and me. It sometimes seems like Murphy's Law is the universal film licensing entity lording over us all.

My son collects most Criterion releases and after decades of telling him to watch the INFERNAL AFFAIRS films, he watched them over two days. Two days after that Criterion announced them on their schedule (he'd definitely have done a blind buy on them). And after not having seen THE FRISCO KID since VHS I finally bought it on DVD... Its Blu-ray release was announced that week! LOL

The good news though is that Shout is releasing THE COMPANY OF WOLVES, so I should stop my crying. I hope it has extensive special features.

They have to be released by IMPRINT first

Deep Discount sells Imprint titles - that's where I got my copy of The Gift from. No need to sit around waiting.

Only seen The Gift once (at the cinema), and on the whole it was memorable. Am considering double-dipping with literally one or two Imprint titles (one of them being On the Beach). The Gift would seem ideal for a Collector's Edition release by Shout.
