I got a shipping notification 38 minutes ago. Estimated delivery date in 136 hours. I didn't order anything but thought I'd join the conversation

I'm as pathologically OCD as they come when it comes to the condition of my blu-rays, but one thing even I don't do is look for scratches on the discs. I instead convince myself that since they're brand new, there should be no such thing as scratches. Ignorance is bliss.

I don't check my discs either. As long as they play I'm fine.

Same here. Knowing how OCD I am, checking the discs for scratches is asking for trouble. Ignorance is bliss.

There aren't supposed to be scratches on brand new discs but they don't really bother me unless the disc looks like it was dragged on gravel. I've seen photos of scratches that look more like the disc is about to crack in half - those are actual damage and should be returned.

Might not be as weird as you think. Not hard to shrink wrap a movie. I can do it myself by hand and usually looks better than what the "professionals" do. Just because I've done it a zillion times. I did it for a job, not anything to do with Amazon. You can buy cheap shrink wrapping stuff on Amazon. It wouldn't be hard to swap discs out and shrink wrap it and send it back to Amazon. Then easily get refunded. I've heard people just getting blank cdrs instead for other movies too. Probably some loser stealing the discs, replacing it with something old they don't care about, and Amazon doesn't check anything, so it just went back in the pile. Obviously to be sold to you one day. Probably doesn't happen much, but I know it happens. Most likely that's this situation.

I have my first boxset from them coming in the mail, but it isn't here yet. Hopefully someone can give you insight on their packaging though. I kept that route shipping insurance on mine just to be doubly sure they don't give me a problem if it does somehow get damaged...
