I really think March and April's line-ups suggest a return to form for Scream Factory, with the right balance struck:

4K UHD upgrades of previously released SF titles (Exorcist III and The People Under the Stairs)
4K UHD upgrade of a studio title (Universal) not previously released by SF (Dead Silence)
Disc debut of a highly-requested 70s hidden gem (Haunting of Julia)
3 Warner Bros titles; 2 new to Blu-ray, the other long OOP and in need of a better release (Dr Giggles, Razorback, Endangered Species)
2 Paramount new-to-Blu titles (Sorry Wrong Number, Bless the Child)

Even if you're not interested in these particular titles, it's definitely an encouraging trend. There's a similar balance evident among the Shout Select and other Shout releases as well. Hopefully they can sustain this going forward.

Love to see The People Under the Stairs getting an upgrade. That movie is so wild. I have a friend who is going to lose it when he finds out haha.

Three Shout/Scream Factory 4Ks have dropped in price. If they're price matching BB I may go in and try to snag some of the ones I've skipped.

Bless the Child chalks off another unreleased-on-Blu Paramount theatrical/DTV title (in the US). That doesn't leave many now (in terms of Scream Factory fodder), and much less that appear realistic prospects. There's also some CBS/Paramount TV movies/mini-series that might be available, and possibly a handful of Republic pre-1950 horrors (would SF be interested?), but surely pre-2006 Miramax titles will be the main source of Paramount-owned titles going forward:

The Naked Jungle

Blood and Roses (probably still legal issues holding up a release)
The Vulture
The Penthouse

The Possession of Joel Delaney
Terror in the Wax Museum
W
Bloodline

The Keep (no chance; seems that Scream, like Kino, had it under licence but were unable to meet Mann's unreasonable demands for a restored release)
Testament

Rumpelstiltskin
Witchboard 3: The Possession
A Simple Plan (I'd be very surprised if this wasn't released by someone this year)

The Gift (again, I'd be surprised if this wasn't released soon)
Abandon
The Loved Ones
Carriers

Apologies if I've missed anything.

Man I hope some of the Mirmax titles come. Some of them need remasters, like The Prophecy and Scream 3 (which Paramount might safe for themselves).

I'm assuming Scream 3 will be released on 4K this year by Paramount. They've been releasing one each year and both Scream and Scream 2 were released in October.

Ouch. I know every film has its fans, and lord knows, I'm a fan of questionable movies, but Night of the Demons 3 is incredibly bad. It seems to lift more than a little bit from non-horror director Quentin Tarantino's films, because he was the hot director at the time, I guess. It's a huge drop-off from the first two (especially Part 2, my favorite).

I'd be surprised if it ever gets a blu-ray release, but, you never know.

April is going to be a very expensive month for Shout purchases if all the leaks pan out.

What are your thoughts/the odds on more of the Steven King made for tv 90's epics?

-The Langoliers
-The Tommy Knockers
-Storm of the Century
-etc

I know the costs to remaster and re-do the effects may be somewhat prohibitive but would you ever guess these could be potential titles down the line for Scream Factory to release? I thoroughly enjoyed Paramount's Release of "The Stand" a few years back and have been hoping to see more King tv epics released since, but since I haven't heard/seen anything from Paramount directly, I'd be just as content if Scream Factory or anyone else took a crack at them.

Compared to the first 2 films (and the remake surprisingly) it's not a very good film, but compared to so much of the dreck that VS has passed our way over the years it isn't even close to bottom of the barrel. I'd certainly love a chance to upgrade the DVD.

I would add The Testament (1983). This seems ripe for a release from Shout.

I posted it on the blu-ray's thread and I'll do it here too, but The Curse of the Cat People (1944) is marked down to $18.99 on Amazon right now. It was $22.99 before. I don't know if its gotten any lower than this before, but I think its a pretty good deal. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I also recommend the first film, Cat People (1942), which was released on blu-ray from Criterion.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Scream upgrade some of those Olive Films horror releases from the Paramount/Republic library. I would assume most will be out of print soon if they aren't already.
