I really hope Arrow isn't the only one doing newer remasters of Shaw titles. I'm pretty satisfied with the special features Shout have put together for the Brave Archer films, but I'm doubly disappointed at the decision to make it a site exclusive and lack of any new remasters. Perhaps the Brave Archer was too obscure in Shout's eyes, but I hope we do get new scans for other films Shout has acquired.

Been waiting quite a bit for 88 to hopefully get to the sequels before I rewatch the first, so kudos Shout. As many Shaws as possible.

Maybe they could do a box set or two, or even double features where they make sense, like Black Magic 1 and 2 and Hex and its sequel? I just hope they don't go the site exclusives route too often.
I’ve been hoping for a release of Seeding of a Ghost, they should do a Shaw Bros horror box. Now that I’d be interested in

This was great news. I placed an order. It's nice that these are titles that haven't already been released in the UK or USA.

Considering Arrow liquidated the Shaw #1 set and look to be ready to do the same for #2 is probably why Shout was weary about this set. The Shaw films in the Arrow set are a lot more popular than this series also. Plus, its Shout, so the transfers are probably terrible and the extras are thin...for the low..low..price of...$70. These will probably sell out anyway due to scalpers, but I can see why this is an exclusive with a 2500 run.

Just got a shipping notification for Midnight Run 4K from Shout but my enthusiasm is dulled. I was supposed to receive my copy of Exorcist III on Saturday but it's still "Moving within the network". The USPS is sucking again.

You and me both. It feels like it's been awhile since we found out A Simple Plan is coming, but these things take time I suppose. I just hope they are out before Halloween.

So with Creepshow 4k Uhd apparently coming.. does this mean they can now release Warner titles on 4k ? Like an upgrade from warner archive blurays to scream factory 4ks? Or is creepshow with a different owner now..

Too early to say if it's coming yet. SF did license the BD from Warner though.

Would be nice if Shout could give us TCM3 on 4K. Maybe that and the TCM remake+prequel can be their big October release, if they are doing Warner 4Ks now.

When you say "the rest of the Chucky films" do you mean just Bride and Seed, or more than those?

TCM 3 would be great. It's not a great movie but it's still hugely enjoyable. That Warner Archive release doesn't do it justice.

I'm not sure. I saw random pages for Seed and Cult close to one another, but nothing for Bride and Curse . This is why I'm not overly confident yet that these are SF leaks or not, even though they are found among newer page numbers.

You see, this bothers me. They give these single cases releases in a box but they can't do the same for the Jackie Chan films that have a higher mark up; $80+! It seems they have something against Jackie!

They've always treated Jackie poorly. Just look up their Police Story and Crime Story "Blu-rays" At least this time they had good work done by others to piggy-back off of.

It really bummed me out that they chose not to do Collector's Editions of all these:

Winners and Sinners
Wheels On Meals
The Protector
Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars
Armour of God
Armour of God II: Operation Condor
Crime Story
City Hunter
Battle Creek Brawl

You're bummed out Battle Creek Brawl had a 85-minute documentary, six interviews and a new commentary? Sounds pretty "collector's edition" to me - sans a new scan.

We don't know the extras for those other films yet. Probably whatever Shout can get.

Their actor-themed sets have always been slimmed packages (Vincent Price, Paul Naschy, Sonny Chiba) - while the franchise collection sets have mostly been individual cases (Friday the 13th, Omen, The Fly).
Brave Archer Collection is a franchise set. They have nothing against Jackie.

It doesn't feel special without the slipcover.
