Yeah, this seems like exactly something that would have a full-fat release from Arrow.

Shout plays it way too safe for my tastes. So many site exclusives that could find a wider audience if given a venue and a little time.

Well, call me crazy because I just placed an order for Demon Of Paradise (1987) AND the Blaxploitation triple-feature Blu-rays!
Unfortunately I'll have to recycle some more cans and donate some more blood for The Brave Archer Collection. Oh well, hopefully by next month...

And regardless of rights ownership/actual likelihood, some other American International Pictures and Roger Corman productions I would like to mention now for possible future Blu-ray releases include the following (among many others):
  1. Monster From The Ocean Floor (1954)
  2. The Undead (1957)
  3. Voodoo Woman (1957)
  4. Blood Of Dracula (1957)
  5. Night Of The Blood Beast (1958)
  6. She Gods Of Shark Reef (1958)
  7. Ghost Of Dragstrip Hollow (1959)
  8. Beast From Haunted Cave (1959)
  9. Attack Of The Giant Leeches (1959)
  10. The Little Shop Of Horrors (1960)
  11. Creature From Haunted Sea (1961)
  12. Slaughter's Big Ripoff (1973)
  13. Down And Dirty Duck (1974)
  14. Lords Of The Deep (1989)

I could seriously go on and on listing more films but I try to restrain myself for the good of the blu-ray.com community...

Being in the US I'm not subject to the extra costs like the two of you, but once those exclusives hit $30+, I stopped buying them 'day 1'.
Now they're pretty much a luxury purchase if my blu budget allows, which seems to be never these days lol.

Even though I'm not a fan of the $30 price tag for the barebones Shout site exclusives, I will gladly pay for more of the Corman produced Don "The Dragon" Wilson films. Vinegar Syndrome has done very well with the Cynthia Rothrock, Billy Blanks, and Jalal Merhi VSAs. I wish Shout would put a little more TLC into this stuff as well, but I'll take what I can get. Hopefully Shout has more in the pipeline.

I think it's a revenue/profit thing. These exclusives are relatively expensive for what are essentially barebones releases. Bare minimum effort + high price = nice profit. Then there's the LE FOMO thing. Labels know people trip over themselves to buy this stuff as quickly as possible before sellout. Well, at least the non-thrifty folks Shout knows what they're doing.

I hear ya. Plus, you never know what you are going to get with Shout. You may receive a scratched up disc and a cover that reads Demoins of Paradise.

I assume we're getting announcements this week. It's been a month since we've gotten some. I hope Mifune's leaks hold true.

I just today found out about the restocking of the site exclusives on Friday. Had no idea, and the few I've missed and care about are long gone. What a shitty time to drop those, my email was timestamped as early Friday afternoon, I and I'm sure many others were working, even if I'd seen it by mid-afternoon seems like quantities were so low most stuff was gone. They could've given a heads up and announced the drop beforehand with some time to prepare, and at least given more people a fighting chance to grab something. Like when VS let people know there'd be OOP stuff available New Year's 2022. I was also surprised the restocked old stock that is still available is at the old 26.XX price point instead of the new 30. Shocking, really. Like they're honoring the old price point.

Wouldn't have done any good Neon, I was there within 10 minutes and Ninth Configuration and one other I wanted were already gone by that time. Is what it is... We will just have to be disappointed together, please pass me another beer!!

All the releases of

If those others are getting released, then there's no way they skip out on Bride of Chucky. This year marks the 25th anniversary in October. I was actually expecting SF to release it for October but i'll take it earlier too. I hope they give us both the original posters and slipcovers as well as newly commissioned ones like they did with the previous bundle.

The rights must have reverted back to Sony since they now distribute the digital copies.

These clowns will "find" more. Don't worry. They're just leaking them in dribs and drabs to hide their reprints.
