It's crazy out of 100s of Scream Factory discs, I've literally had one that had minor scratches. I'm trying to figure out how I got so lucky?

Well you certainly don't have 100s of Scream Factory 4K discs. The scratched discs started with their 4K releases.

Oh I thought it was all their discs? Ya I've never had a 4K disc scratched at all either. Idk I must have been lucky, hope it stays that way.

Not true, the scratched disc issues started with Trick r Treat back in 2018, Scream’s first 4K “They Live” dropped in 2021.

It’s for that reason that I didn’t get a copy of Trick r Treat until 2022.

I didn't mention the Trick r Treat Blu-ray because those issues were isolated to that release, all Blu-rays before and after that were fine until they started doing 4K releases.

I'm not accusing anyone of lying or exaggerating-- I'm just wondering why I haven't experienced any of these horror stories

Meanwhile, three weeks out of my request for a replacement from Shout and zip, nada, nothing.

Another thing to remember is that this issue started around 2019/2020. Any SF release prior to that has much better odds at not being affected.

Same here... all these scratch stories got me paranoid... checked all my discs.. not a single scratch on any of them... o.o

I haven't been ordering a ton of scream discs lately but no scratches for me either.
