Fingers crossed the Irwin Allen set's copy of When Time Ran Out... is at least the 2 hour theatrical cut, if not the 2 1/2 hour TV cut. The current DVD, the only OAR release, is the roughly 100+ minute international release.

cmac already confirmed it's the 109 minute edition.

A lot of WB stuff coming out via Shout lately. Maybe the Elm Street series has a better chance these days? Would be release of the year for me. Hell, best release of the last 5 years!

I don't have 4K, but I'm happy to buy sets that have both a 4K and a Blu-ray disc.

What DOESN'T make me happy are the sets in which the enclosed Blu-ray is a years-old disc that has NOT been mastered from the new film transfer. For example, the recent Universal Hitchcock sets.

I agree. Criterion are another company that almost always includes the old BD release with the new 4K (I think Le Cercle Rouge is the only exception). Shout usually has remastered Blu-rays included.

I’ve never seen Night of the Demons, and just realized throughout all this talk about the 4K coming out that in my brain I was confusing it with another one I’ve never seen, Night of the Creeps. I was gearing up for some Tom Atkins, but now I’m less excited.

Night of the Demons > Night of the Creeps IMO

Nothing in the new announcements for me since I already own the ones I’d want on BD & don’t feel the need to upgrade. It’s good since I can save some money after spending on both the VS & Severin sales.

So glad I held off upgrading from the Lionsgate release. Shout! needs to release The Blob onto UHD pronto too, I don't wanna be stuck with an older copy once they announce it.

Might pick up Night Of The Comet if it ever dips to $15. Movie had a lot of potential, but really the only thing that grabbed me was the cheerleader outfit and awesome 80s department stores.

Anyone that has the Creepshow 4k: Does your copy have scratches? Im still wary about buying any until they fix it

Check out the 4K thread. As is the case with most of these releases, some are getting scratched discs, some aren't. By all accounts, the 4K transfer is really great though.

I'm skipping Creepshow because scratches and I already have Scream's 4K remastered blu-ray, but my Motel Hell 4K arrived fortunately un-clawed.

Wish me luck on The Burning!

While I would love new scans of The Towering Inferno and Poseidon Adventure in the Irwin Allen set, they are with Fox/Disney, so no chance there. (Unless Bob Iger's recent announcement of Disney getting back into home video means licensing to third parties outside of Mill Creek is also returning, but that's HIGHLY unlikely.) The remaining Allen disaster flicks are all over the place, quality wise, so I'll wait for the official announcement of included films.

The Night of the Comet is likely a worthwhile upgrade for fans, as the old Scream Blu-ray is far from ideal. I adore My Bloody Valentine, so I might pick this up down the road on a sale. (I'm not eager to upgrade all of my Blu-rays to 4K like I did from DVD to Blu-ray.)

I've been waiting for The Pack to be released, so this is very cool--another "nature attacks" movie makes it to HD!

Films are listed in the dedicated thread for the release. It's an all Warner set:

Quote:
  • Flood! (1976)
  • Fire! (1977)
  • Hanging By A Thread (1979)
  • Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (1979)
  • When Time Ran Out (1980)
  • Cave-In! (1983)
  • The Night The Bridge Fell Down (1983)
We also know from Cliff MacMillan (cmac) of Shout Factory that it'll also incude the extended version in SD of When Time Ran Out as an extra.
