Lol. I must've typed it in wrong. It's happened to me a lot on that site. Shopping at these kinds of places, where they make it hard to find stuff, takes all the fun out.

There's a NOTD LP for that price, but using the UPC when searching helps to retrieve the correct profile.

Those Bull Moose prices are pretty good. If you pre-order slipped titles they always ship in a box, right?

It's still crazy to me how BAD the shout site is. Why the hell can't I just open the 'Shop' and see every release and filter what I want to see?

This is already their new site, I believe less than 1 year old. Guess we need to wait for the next incarnation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I have NEVER seen a site update be an improvement.

With Kino announcing IT: The Terror From Beyond Space... what do we think the mysterious Shout Factory "It" title that was found through leaks recently is? Stephen King's It (1990) perhaps, since they're doing 4Ks of WB now?

Is Sawbones a safe blind buy? Or is it pure trash? Because I love DTV 90s trash that's fun, this look pretty decent.

If the listing does point towards a SF release, I'd say the only realistic alternative is the 1967 film It!, which is also with Warner Bros.

The Red Dawn 4K steelbook, which was previously a BB exclusive, has now been released widely. It's just $22.99 at WM

Probably all the scratched and dented copies that were returned to Best Buy. And I do mean the steelbooks, not the discs.

Is “Terror Train” on 4K from the OCN a possibility for Scream Factory? Or does someone else have that now?

Scorpion reissued it on blu-ray in 2020. I don't know if they still hold the rights.

If anyone was curious about In the Mouth of Madness, Silver Bullet, or Night of the Creeps being re-released on 4k, they said they had no immediate plans, but never say never. I'd like to know their criteria for choosing what ones to release on 4k - some of them seem like no brainers (MBV, RotLD, Blob 88), but most of them it seems like there's no rhyme or reason to what ones they re-release on 4k.

If we're talking upgrades of titles already released by SF, I think the reasoning can be based on certain factors: time elapsed since the previous release; presumably the success of a previous release; the availability of a 4K scan/restoration (in some cases); and, relating to this, the willingness of the studios to do new 4K scans/restorations, or else allow SF to do them.

With regard to that last point, MGM and Universal are definitely the most obliging. With Warner Bros, so far we've only seen an upgrade of Creepshow, which makes sense given that SF's previous release was from a 4K scan of the OCN. This wasn't the case with too many of the WB-licenced Collector's Editions, so it could be that 4K upgrades are slower, or perhaps even not forthcoming at all. In the Mouth of Madness was one of those '4K scan of the original film elements' descriptions, so it may be that they haven't yet accessed the negative for that. Similarly, MBV was already given a 4K scan from the OCN for the previous release, which wasn't always the case with previous Paramount releases (for example, Pet Sematary 2 received a new scan, while Silver Bullet was based on an older master).

Sony are particularly difficult, since they scan/restore titles themselves, and don't allow outside restorations, so SF either have to wait or hope the 4K master is already available (as was the case with The Blob; I don't know about Night of the Creeps; I doubt it, since I think that master goes back to the 2009 Blu-ray/DVD release).

Did you email SF, asking them if these titles were coming out? It sounds like you got a typical boilerplate response, as no company are going to confirm future titles.

I'm going to remain hopeful, I am pretty selective when it comes to 4k but Night of the Creeps is my most wanted and I would certainly go for Silver Bullet as well.
