Now that we're getting Olive titles re-released, I'm hoping to see at least one more: Night of the Scarecrow. And even though it was never upgraded past DVD, I'm also hoping to see Witchboard 3

I have never even heard of Funeral Home but it sounds interesting so I will give it a shot. The last year I have bought so many classic horror films on disc that I had never even heard of that I ended up loving, many released by Shout Factory.

STREET GIRLS for me. It's a film that makes Eugene, Oregon look like a giant cesspool--which it actually is.

Jennifer 8 and Funeral Home is what I'm interested in...surely there is actual extras in production right?

Hopefully, seems like almost everyone says either "no 4k?" or "that's great but now I want this" or some form of either. I am pumped for all these announcements and it's always great when there is new to blu domestic releases for sure. Great slate.

Either that or the following month will be loaded with 4K announcements (that's my guess). Either way, Shout Factory has more in the pipeline.

Nothing better than a bunch of new to blu titles coming from SF!! Nice to also have a break from the 4K upgrades. Wish we had more months from SF like this...But Beggers can't be...well....you know the rest...

USA Today's Scream Factory (and Shout! Studios) announcements for January

A surprising (in a good way) set of announcements earlier today (first read about them on the Scream Factory and Shout! Studios Facebook pages). Very happy about the Funeral Home announcement (finally confirmation of which US label/boutique label is releasing it, following knowing about the German Blu-ray release). One of those much requested (certainly by people on here) horror/slasher horror films. It's difficult (in a trivial way compared to other things in life) keeping my expectations of the extras/bonus features I'd like to see on this Shout release to a realistic level (interviews with cast and crew and a location(s) featurette I'd like to see).

Jennifer 8 is a possibility, and the announcements of the two Charles Bronson films I'm also excited by.

My buddy and I saw (Claudio Simonetti's) Goblin at The Castro on Friday. Having the show so close to Halloween certainly added a bit more flavor to the scene (lots of costumes). It certainly got me in a Rocktober mood!

I agree. Although I like both, I will always prefer new to blu-ray releases as compared to 4K upgrades.

However new to 4K after never even having a blu-ray release will be my ultimate favorite (such as The Haunting of Julia).

I'll never get tired of the 4K upgrades. I don't have a preference either way and I do appreciate the premieres but, man, those 4Ks are just too pretty (when done right).

Very excited to see Funeral Home is finally getting a blu-ray! I've wanted to see it for a loooong time because the cover art is so great, but I've just never gotten around to it. Will be fun to watch for the first time on blu.
