It looks like the last new release I bought from them was the My Bloody Valentine 4K three months ago. That one wasn't an eco-case. Are you saying between then and now there's been a wholesale switch to eco-cases going on with all their releases?

Why would you cheap out for a PREMIUM product.
If they’re gonna save money then they should mark down the prices to reflect that. They don’t wanna spend money on proper packaging, then we shouldn’t have to spend huge prices for subpar packaging.

The two recent Bronson titles I received were standard cases but Forced Vengeance is an eco and it looks like the upcoming Thinner, which is a collector's edition, is also eco.

There was a period of time a few years ago where a few releases came in eco cases. It was a result of manufacturing/ distribution issues and Shout elected to use eco cases to stay on schedule instead of delaying releases and wait for non eco cases to come in. We may want to wait a month before getting the pitchforks and torches as this may be a temporary solution to a shortage of the usual cases.

That said if this is the new standard I'm in agreement that the price should reflect this new lower quality product.

He Knows You're Alone and Eyes Of A Stranger came in eco cases.

The first two copies of He Knows arrived with the case completely crushed, and the third (which I finally kept) still had some damage to the spine. Eyes was fine the first time.

Although this was in 2021 when those were first released.

Not the leaks I was expecting today as I figured something would leak from Arrow and Eureka, but still good news. Affliction is a title I've been wanting to watch for a long time. Faculty is a maybe, curious about Blue Giant.

That's a pretty good point. There is some precedent for it being a stop-gap thing. When I preordered the Halloween 4ks of 1-5 from them, my copies of both H3 and H4 were in eco-cases while it was YMMV on those for the rest of the customers.

Nice, Lost in Space. I had the DVD and back when I had my LG 2D to 3D tv something about the films look made it really pop out more than some of other movies I had.
