The movie (sans MST3K) is on Shout! Factory TV, so I have to assume SF have the rights to it. It's streaming in 1080P even, though I would guess that could be an upscale given the quality I'm seeing.

IMO, Shout! should acquire the library. They had a great relationship with Corman and I feel these films (next to sublicensing the DiC titles once upon a time) is what made Shout! the popular home video it is now in the first place.

^ His kids had been fighting over the estate for years before he died. Corman sold Shout the library, then his kids threw a tantrum and started fighting over what movies were theirs. Which is why Shout originally released titles like Slumber Party Massacre 3, Streets, etc which later went out of print.

I wouldn't be surprised if the kids were upset with Shout because they were upset Corman had sold them the rights in the first place.

I don't know the full details but that was my cliffnotes understanding of it.

PIN US and Canada Blu-Ray as it already released on Blu-Ray in Germany, and France, as well as a few other countries now it’s time for it to release in Canada and the US surprised it hasn’t released here, or Canada yet somehow

I want these titles so bad

Mark Damon passed away on May 11th, but was only announced last night. Only two days after Roger Corman. He not only starred in House of Usher, Black Sabbath, and spaghetti westerns, but was a producer of films such as The NeverEnding Story and The Lost Boys.

Shout never owned SPM3 they had just licensed it. Same with Death Race 2000 and any other of the OOP ones.

These might belong to Ace Films, the Chinese company that bought the other half of the Corman library.

Also the lawsuit was settled in 2020 and the sale was not affected.

If I buy 5 discs, do they ship in box or still in a bubble mailer?

Noticed a few more titles were added to SF's Going OOP page that haven't been mentioned before. All Universal titles I believe, all originally released in 2019.

The Boxer (1997)
Brighton Beach Memoirs
The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid
Ned Kelly (2003)
Law and Order (1953)
Sarah T. - Portrait Of A Teenage Alcoholic
Snow Falling On Cedars
Talk to Me (2007)

I think it's around that time of the month for website exclusives? Last month we got a few good ones.

Four great titles right here that I’m interested in that being Ned Kelly, The Boxer, Talk to me, and The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid. A couple of these being biographical films, and have some of my favorite actors of all time.

The Boxer has been a film on my backlog for so long so I might pick it up today in fact I probably will as it’s going out of print pretty fast. I’m probably going to pick up Ned Kelly, The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid, and Talk to me next week not really interested in the other titles. Unless someone has any thoughts on the film Snow Falling on Cedars, which just looks boring to me.

Just got my 4K sale order in.

The good: Everything came with a slipcover. Had I known that, I would have both a few more things (wishing I would have gotten The Burning).

The bad: They shipped everything stacked in a box with ZERO bubble wrap, padding, paper, etc. Literally nothing. Just the movies, shaking around loosely in a box. So some of the slips are dinged up on the corners.

The other good: I'm not an OCD-level collector and none of that bothers me. And I don't plan on selling these (maybe trading into The Archive for store credit at the most).

How long do they usually take to ship? My 7-days-old sale purchase has yet to move from what I can tell...

I received Lost in Space a few days ago. It came with a slipcover (which I suppose is expected since it came out recently and is a collector's edition). I threw the slipcover away.
