I wonder if the Bava films will have anything different to offer from the Kino releases? There are a couple I would actually like the Italian audio for.

well I'm hoping that something different might mean 4k releases. I've passed on quite a few of Shout's 4k versions of fairly recent, perfectly good blu rays...

but several Bava films would have great potential since the blu rays are now quite old, and the visuals of this director are literally what makes them great!

I would def get a Bava set mainly to have them all in one place. So many stray Kino discs, I regretted not getting the Arrow set.

One film that needs a 4K remaster is The Relic. It's just never gotten an optimal treatment on home video. If Scream got this and could get the original special features featuring Peter Hyams and produce some additional material for it, I'd bite. It's certainly not a great movie, but it has merit in places. A new scan with HDR/Dolby Vision could finally give us the proper contrast levels it should have. Scream & Paramount seem to have a solid relationship. So, it's possible.

Honestly, regarding Texas Chainsaw 03, given how Arrow Video treated the Friday remake with so much love and care and got interviews with the Director, I’m more comfortable with Arrow getting Texas chainsaw 03.

On a separate point, it would not surprise me if Arrow Video recorded a long interview session where they discussed both remakes and they edited out the Chainsaw segments and are saving those for that inevitable 4K release.

It would certainly make things easier.

I still stand by that unless they add alternate cuts, or lots of extras/deleted scenes, there is absolutely no reason to release 4Ks of the DGG Trilogy.

I am in quite a few social media groups for horror etc, and the sheer amount of horror collectors purchase a majority DVD. To pitch your average horror fan a 100ish dollar boxset, when they can get the 4K Trilogy that already exists for sub 25 bucks is foolish.

Would it sell, yeah, most horror sells, but will it sell well, not unless it has something BIG involved.

If Ends included the Silver Shamrock ending, I'd pay any amount. (Yes, I know it supposedly not shot).

Lionsgate is releasing MBV '09 4K according to D*ckFather, so I assume thats not happening. Sleepaway Camp materials are missing according to users earlier in the thread.

If you're talking about the 1998 Jack Frost with Michael Keaton and the late Kelly Preston, would love to see that since it had never gotten a Blu-Ray release, same thing with Unaccompanied Minors. Oh a new transfer of Fred Claus with Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti might be something.

Going to check out this Hush film as it's been brought up a few times on here recently.
