They're making it hard to return stuff these days so I wouldn't bother with a return for a couple of small scratches. I have had discs with surfaces that are not pristine and most do not have playback issues. In fact, whatever playback issues I do encounter, in the majority of cases the discs are as pristine as a baby's feet. If playback is not affected, why bother?

Hoping for a 4K of On Golden Pond.

First time I saw it, a friend of mine and I were enjoying a bottle of scotch after a wonderful day, and this came on TCM. We laughed until we cried. Great film and great memories.

No disrespect to On Golden Pond, or a potential 4K release in the future, but the Scream Factory thread is a pretty strange place to express your hopes for it. But hey, maybe their October slate will be full of surprises

Most likely titles I see Scream Factory announcing

Night of the Creeps 4K UHD this one's so obvious it's not even funny and the only 4K upgrade that will happen
Carnosaur boxset people have been waiting long enough for this
One or two new to Blu-Ray older 70s and 80s horror titles
More new to Blu-Ray 50s and 60s horror titles
That's all I got

I'm probably going to skip it this time around, just because of the amount of sales and stuff I've been ordering lately. I'd guess the slips are gone for most of them as well, but you never know. I got one in for Prince of Darkness a little while back, and I couldn't believe it

The problem with that is your player could die tomorrow and there’s no guarantee the new one will play scratched discs without issue. I upgraded from a Blu-ray player to a UHD player that was much more expensive but can’t handle even a slightly scratched disc. The Blu-ray player could handle just about anything I threw at it. So if you end up needing a new player a year or two from now, those scratched discs can’t be exchanged at Amazon if they don’t play without skips, pauses and stops. And don’t expect Shout to help you when suddenly a half dozen discs no longer play without problems. They ain’t Criterion. They don’t give a damn about their reputation or customer satisfaction.

Okay thanks, i really hope they finally announce either the My bloody Valentine remake, Valentine (2001), Sleepaway camp or The descent. Any of those would be an amazing October title

It's possible, but I've said that before, and then *BAM*, MifuneFan pops up out of nowhere.

I suspect Hush 4K is near certain, and that The Hitcher 4K is very likely. As for the sole 4K upgrade (of an existing SF release), Night of the Creeps seems a good bet. I guess that would leave 1 or 2 more tops? A new-to-Blu WB or Paramount title would be nice.
