Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

I know we've said this before but why is it so difficult for Scream Factory to offer their limited edition releases without the poster?! It's so infuriating and makes me take my business elsewhere to Amazon or Diabolik, rather than it being the USP that will make people buy from them direct.

Out of interest, how many horror titles do scream factory tend to release every month? Will November have a lot?

No doubt there's going to be more modern remakes in November and beyond. The pickings are getting slim, though. The awful FOG remake is almost assured. Yeah, keep saving me money, Shout.

The Shout Insider said there will be no Summer of Fear sale this year. THe next big sale will be in October.

Some nice deals on some of the Blu-rays. I think some of them are at least a $1 or $2 less than past sales.

Financially actually glad about this. I can just wait till Oct to get anymore Shout. I just finally want Dr Giggles, Demon Lover and The Pack on sale.

Re: House on Haunted Hill (1959), if Film Masters is doing this, it will be from a Public Domain master. The last I knew, this is a Warner Bros. property. Warner licensed it to Scream Factory years ago. It seems like it has reverted back to WB as SF has done nothing further with it since the Vincent Price Collection.
WB has the best master and I would expect it will eventually come as a blu-ray release from WAC, unless Warner is now licensing out to Film Masters, witch I doubt. That mock 3D version that Eyepop or whatever they call themselves, was made from an inferior PD source.

If we're going to get a proper.blu-ray release, it's probably going to come from WAC. It could come from SF if they still have the license, but I doubt it since they haven't done anything with it all this time.

I really want that American Me Blu-Ray as a huge Edward James Olmos fan I was just waiting on a good deal for it. There’s some great stuff here that I still haven’t bought yet. I just won’t be buying anything till next week when I get paid as I plan on adding one or two other titles too. That’s it though as my Delta Force 4K UHD Blu-Ray comes in that week on the 13th.

We already have Blu Rays of the other films. A release of the 2022 Netflix film would be a huge deal and a big seller. I'd go so far as to say that a release of 2022 (Blu Ray or 4k) would outsell the 2003 remake.

That or Arrow. Don't forget they have a deal with Warner too now and this is a title that seems right up their alley.

I really hope Delta Force turns out great on UHD. I don't care that it won't have a slipcover but I really need it to be worth the thirty two bucks. I was pretty happy with the Scorpion Blu. This is my favorite 80's action movie. This one needs one of those fancy boxes with tons of extras.
