So funny, because when I saw your post a few hours ago, I eagerly opened up my email app to find the email (which I've still yet to receive). I love the original and would love it on Blu-ray, of course, buuuuuuut I saw the remake in theaters this past spring, and rewatched it on the BET app a few times. I would very happily buy the remake on Blu-ray. After a few Google searches, I found out that Shout released the remake on digital today. I'm still gonna hold out for a physical copy, but if it never materializes... digital is better than nothing, I guess.

But yeah, just wanted to say hi, here I am, that one person on Earth. Lmao. I preferred the remake over the original : )

They simply listed the title (along with other titles) in the email. "2024" or "new remake" are not part of the title. So - not misleading.

While I've got your ear, can I formally request a 4K (or even just blu-ray) release of CRY_WOLF (2005)? Fantastic post-Scream slasher gem starring some pretty big names like Jared Padalecki, Jon Bon Jovi and Julian Morris.

We're coming up on the 20th Anniversary and it's begging for a fresh restoration and some new extras. Can't believe it's still stuck on DVD in the U.S. despite multiple labels having deals with Universal. It's definitely a cult classic and only getting more popular as the years tick on.

Does anyone know what’s going on with Scream Factory?
Setting aside the quality issues (scratches, etc.), their recent output doesn’t seem to measure up to the releases in past years.

The Shaw Bros sets have been amazing, but their horror lineup feels... underwhelming.
It also seems like a lot of the rights to their past releases have been picked up by other labels for 4K releases.

With Cliff and Jeff leaving, it just feels like the company is a bit lost.

I personally disagree, but obviously you're entitled to your opinion. We've gotten some pretty damn good horror/horror adjacent titles, even if they aren't all titles I personally want.

There isn't much that isn't a steel book rerelease or a 4k upgrade of their existing catalog.
I welcome the 4K upgrades but other than Funeral Home (1980) there isn't a lot here to be excited about.

I have a situation and not sure what to do. In the past if I ordered multiple items with different street dates, sometimes after the first item ships, the others don't and get stuck. Usually I e-mail Shout and they take care of it. This time I e-mailed them and they keep saying that the warehouse will ship it, but it's NOT shipping. Everyone I know who order the Stephen Chow set already has it in hand, so I don't know what else to do. I keep e-mailing them, but nothing happens.

Yeah The Gift is pretty exciting though for me at least it has been years since I watched it, and I'm glad it's finally getting released on Blu-Ray, and 4K. However, other than that, and some incredibly welcome 4K upgrades like for The Faculty, Darkman, and a few others there really isn't many new to Blu-Ray titles for 2024. So not really too much to get excited about here, which is a bit disappointing.

They got to be running out of titles to upgrade to 4K at this point. Hope next year we get more newer titles. More Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest sets would be nice. Also Kamen Rider and Super Sentai could easily sell for a lot of Tokusatsu fans.
