I'm legit scared what'll happen the day Firestarter Rekindled gets announced.

I've had good experiences with them. I exchanged a copy of Point Break on 4k a while back because the disc had a big scratch on it. It took a few weeks but I got the new movie and it plays great.

I actually reached out to them over my 4k copy of Sick. Tried to watch it but there is a like a weird blur on the movie while watching it. I emailed shout. Hoping to get an exchange for another copy.

I've bought like 60 movies from Shout over the years and these are the only 2 movies I've had problems with.

So far, my experience has been in the "crap" category.

Bought the Universal Horrors Volume 1 set from them back during their Shocktober sale. Finally got around to opening to watch last month and found that it had two Black Friday discs with no Black Cat disc (apparently, I not the only one who's had this issue).

Contacted CS and got a response the next day saying they would get a replacement out, but the message heavily stressed my need to be patient, in bold, all-caps, big font saying I needed to wait at least 2 weeks for it to arrive.

I waited 4 and half weeks and sent a follow-up email last week asking if I could get an update on the status. No response.

So as of right now I feel like I'm kind of stuck.

edit to add:

Maybe I spoke too soon. Just received an email response back, said they are waiting for more stock to arrive in before sending a replacement.

So fingers crossed. Hope you get a resolution to your situation.

Thanks for the quick responses. I forget that a Shout insider is on these forums as well lol. I was probably thinking of Arrow with bad service. I know people complain about them all the time. Have a ton of Shout discs over the years and this was the first time something like this has happened.

I'm shocked whoever has the 2000 Shadow of the Vampire hasn't released that one on disc. It even has Willem Dafoe as Nosferatu. I would think they would want to capitalize on the new film.

Lionsgate lost the rights a few years ago apparently. So who has it is now up on the air, but probably the producers. A few months ago some speculated that it was the 2000 title Terror Vision picked up, but nothing was verified.

I'm hoping for literally one or two titles licensed from Warner Brothers for Blu-ray release among the May slate.

I would have brought up the possibility of a North American combo pack release of The Mothman Prophecies (new scan/master, lossless audio and previous extras ported over, in addition to new extras), but I've forgot who owns the film over there.
