I forgot about the Jet Li films. The Golden Princess films Hard Boiled and City on Fire are available digitally too but the Jet Li films have been there longer.

All are available in 4K digitally, and will likely be released in 4K from SF too. I don't expect them to be all released in a box set though, but as 4 individual releases (the 2 S Fong Sai-yuk films combined)

The Shout insider said that they would be housed in a boxset. I don't remember where they said it, in this thread, the Shout Factory thread, or one of the many HK/Chinese threads around here, but it was in response to Duke asking about them. If I find the post, I'll quote you here.

I'd lean toward the latter. They were bound to do only a box set of the six Blaxploitation films.

Interesting. Those are the very ones I was going to get from 88 films. Will be interesting to see the price point and supplement differences.

Scream Factory will be releasing The Beastmaster (1982) on 4K tentatively this Summer. The film was previously released on 4K by Vinegar Syndrome, but Shout aquired the rights after their release went Out of Print. I'll post more details as they come out.

Will there be a point in getting this if one has the VS release? Wonder if it's the same transfer or maybe the negative was found and it's a new transfer?

Yeah I’m curious on that, and if it’d potentially have any new extras even. It’s not a Collector’s Edition release from this label, so I’m not expecting it to have any reason to double dip honestly besides maybe a better encode, but I’d love to be surprised, really enjoy this movie.

This is just a random nitpicky complaint, but it drives me nuts that it's 2025 and Scream Factory Blu-rays still won't continue playing from where you left off if you have to turn your player off and come back to the movie later. This is basic functionality.
