This is the first time I have bought directly from the Scream site in forever.
Doggone it I forgot about Silver Bullet, and Dead Silence might need to add those to my cart.
My cart is pretty awesome with a good list of titles I'm a huge stop motion animation fan so I'm surprised I didn't own Paranorman, or The Box Trolls yet plus some titles that I've been putting off.

The items linked from the email are all on sale. The discount shows on the product page so their wording was weird, you dont need to add to cart to see the sale prices. Everything I went for bests Amazon and is the lowest I've seen from them direct, so, a good sale if your missing a few titles your after. Don't think any 2025 stuff has been discounted yet, probably not till their Oct sale.
Yeah I see what they did. The original price on their site is not the MSRP, it's their original sale price. Just threw me off. Especially when the one email said discount reflected in cart.
Does anyone have a list of Shout/Scream Factory 4K upgrades with how good they are compared to the Blu-Ray? They have so many re-releases and I'm just not sure which are worth it. I've picked up some of the ones where the blu-ray was quite bad (ex Cat People, The Fog, They Live) and some where I read about how good the new restoration was (ex Black Christmas), but then there are a ton like the Halloween movies where I'm just not sure which, if any, are really worth the upgrade. Like, "The Dead Zone," for example - I like the movie, but I have the collector's edition blu-ray, and the blu-ray still looks good, so it doesn't seem like it would be a very exciting upgrade even if the 4K transfer is good. Same with "The Blob." Then there are movies like Lifeforce and Army of Darkness where I'm not interested cause the 4K transfer only applies to the cut I never watch. And then some with bad reviews on the 4k version (ex Platoon) where it seems like I'm definitely better off with the blu-ray.
On this sale I got these for upgrades:
Pumpkinhead (read this looked incredible, plus I really like the movie)
Matinee (my blu-ray is region B, so that makes it worth it)
My Bloody Valentine (I have the lionsgate version that suffers from disc rot, so I bought this one out of paranoia that my blu-ray will stop working, plus I heard the transfer was good)

I would say the vast majority of their releases are notable upgrades from their Blu-rays, especially if you have Dolby Vision. Shout, especially over the last 2 or so years, have been killing it in the PQ department. My suggestion would be to go to the individual 4K threads for each of the releases, and read some of the posts about the release.

All of the Halloweens are better than their blus. 4 through Resurrection had old transfers on the Shout set so they look much better. 2 and 3 had 4k remasters but only on the now OOP steelbooks. The 4ks look much better than older blus which are still in print.
Wasn't going to get anything during the sale....ended up ordering Species 2, Clue, and Dog Soldiers. I just can't resist.

I second this! Definitely a fun and unique flick. I don't even know what else would compare to it. The director also made Psycho Goreman which was another cool one. Maybe also a title like HeBGB-TV...

The Halloween movies are maybe some of their best work ever. Especially 4-Resurrection. It was like watching 4 for the first time, never been so vibrant and filmic.
